We have been getting snow here since Thursday night, so when the sun popped out at 3:00 I decided to get in on the last hour of shooting. I actually knocked down 5, but one got out into the river (I think) and we never found it. This was my reward for an hour of sitting in the new foot of snow we got. Yesterday I was at the same place, but I just put a long range choke in my 870, and I couldn't hit anything. Today I had my cheap Mossburg O/U and I knocked all of these down with ten shots. That will teach me not to pattern my gun after making a change. I'm wondering if BB is too big of shot for a choke that tight.
Well ton of snows and blues poured into power plant lake an hr. away from the house. We scored permission on 1000 acres of surrounding fields. Gonna be cold as **** but we are going for it. Gonna put out nice size spread in the morn and give her hell Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
We tried. There sure are a lot of snows/specks in that area. We had about 100 specks skirt our spread and land short. But we couldn’t get our layout blinds hidden enough. Everything frozen solid. It was bone chilling cold. Neat seeing geese fly from first light till we left. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Got my first black duck today! Along with 2 brant. Heading down to the eastern shore of Maryland for 3 days this weekend, can't wait.
A friend and I have brought home six honkers in the last two days just pass shooting on the Big Horn river. Yesterday was -5, and today was -12. It's cold out there!
Managed a few in the snow Saturday, 2 honkers, 2 blacks, and a mallard. Unfortunately the wind ended up shifting and then eventually died down to nothing which killed it so packed it up early since there wasn't much flying anymore. Going away on vacation this Wednesday to Jamaica for 5 days which will be nice, but has its drawbacks since I wont be hunting, haha.
Well, winter break is over and I have to go back to work tomorrow. We got three more today. The 20 degree weather was nice compared t yesterday's -12. These pics are from Sunday. Sent from my LGL44VL using Tapatalk
Jump shot 2 drake mallards off a small creek this morning before work. Here they are ready for a 3 day dry age. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
