    Couple bluebills had a big group come thru but all landed short mallards bluebills goldeneyes big mix of birds.

    Nothing better than a limit of mallards on Christmas Eve in the snow. Except maybe a big buck lol. I had to work for em but we had a good hunt got 10 between 3 of us all mallards

    Any long neoprene gloves will work. I've hot a pair of drakes that I've been using for a while that have held up for a few years.

    Base layers are base layers... nothing changes from late season white tail to waterfowl.

    I personally like pvc gauntlets better than the neoprenes. They last forever and have a fleece lining. If it’s really cold you can get a jersey glove on inside them

    Shot a pair of bluebills this morning. Haven't shot one of these in a long time. My buddy shot a black duck and drake mallard.

    Yea this ice is going to be a battle tomorrow morning! But with our low temps and snow in the forecast for tomorrow can't miss it! Going to take out the Skiff tomorrow since it breaks ice like a champ and hunt out of layout blinds on the marsh I think since the boat isn't grassed or camo. Hopefully have a good day. Good luck out there and stay safe everyone!
