Started the season out with a 3 man limit of woodies before 8 o’clock. Couldn’t ask for a better morning. We had ducks dropping in like crazy. I was in the little boat grabbing the ducks and I had ducks landing right next to me. Lol I’ll have some better pictures in a bit after they get touched up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, we have gotten 4.9" of rain in October already. Alright for waterfowl hunting but really sucks for my combining. My season is closed now until the 14th.
Anyone hunting? It's still raining here (over 5.5" in October so far) and there is flooded fields full of birds everywhere. Found a flooded pasture loaded with greenheads and geese. Of course my season is closed.
Nothing here. Season closes Sunday and then opens back up the 14th. I don’t think I’ll make it out again until probably the 15th. I guess I’ll have to settle for hunting deer in the mean time. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nice pics tehre! i'll be heading west this weekend for pheasant opener and hoping to find some flooded fields for ducks...
Yupp. Been seeing quite a few since about last Thursday. I've put on about 1,100 miles I've the last week for work across southern Minnesota so have definitely seen the change. I'll be up through big stone county tomorrow and can relay what I see. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Cooler temps are here and look like they will stick around. Mid 50s right now with low 40s over night. I love this time of year. I’ll be in the stand tonight but I’ll be after some ducks after the season opens back up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wasn't nearly as many flooded fields or ducks as there is in my neck of the woods but there were some around for sure. From what I was through, Clinton area had the most flooded fields and there seemed to be at least a couple ducks in each one of them. Some fields out but not a ton yet. Guys were starting to poke around in the afternoon so things will change by the weekend I would imagine. Best of luck!
cool thanks Travis, I was going to be a hair north of clinton, not sure now with a family member that passed away unexpectedly yesterday; thanks for the info though
