Found 4 sheds yesterday. Got to pull a stand today so will do a little looking in that area. I doubt there will be any there but you never know.

Alright Tim! I worked all day yesterday and never got out, but I'm taking a day or two off this week and will put in some miles. Still dropping around here, just fighting early green up.

2 more oldies today! The last one I was driving back and decided to take a back road past another piece of public land. As I was driving by, I saw that they burned of alot of over growth. So i stopped and did a quick run thru and picked up a old fork horn. Wish I was there when they burned it, had to be alot of antlers in there!

Found three more today. Two fire sheds and an old one. The old one was a small four point that is hard to see in the picture. Just a couple inches of the end of the main beam were sticking through the grass.

It's awesome looking for sheds after a burn! You can cover ground 20 times as fast! Especially after it rains and washes the ashes down a bit. I looked on one burned area 3 times last year, every time I went out there I found sheds I'd missed earlier when the ashes were still thick! I'm looking forward to seeing smoke in the distance this spring! I just joined the Vol. Fire Dept in my community so that should help know where the grass fires have been. :o

#36 yesterday after work. Old 4 pt and also found a hanger deadhead although I'm sure someone had to put it there. Would have been a really nice/goofy 6 pt.

OK you guys need to send some of those sheds up here via UPS or something lol

Haven't found a shed yet but still have some time. Been out to the family's property and a few state land spots locally.

Hopefully can do some more searching during turkey season

Nows a great time to get out! Some bucks are still dropping and alot of people are doing other things then walking around in the woods with the warm weather. I find alot of old sheds every year that I missed, in the spots I walked the year before. So that means they dropped them after I stop looking.

#37 on lunch today. Not sure how I missed this one last year. Struggling to find fresh ones in my hot spots but keep picking up old ones.

Someone started the boss's CRP on fire and it wasn't us. He wasn't too happy about it !! I glassed it from the road on the way home from work. I spotted 3 sheds out there and there will be more. It was a nasty jungle of clover and tall wheat grass. I know we have missed a few sheds out there from years past. I will hit it this weekend after the ashes get blown around and it settles down. Put me down for 3 more.

That sucks about the CRP, do you think someone started the fire? Or was it a accident? But a good note, those sheds put us over 100 so far for the team total! Congrats on the sheds

Well apparently we have covered the 360 acres of the burnt CRP better then I thought. Out of the three sheds I glassed from the road Friday evening, one was an antler attached to half of a skull. Tyler found one more shed out there. I did managed to find two more sheds in another spot so add one more shed to my tally. I should be at 38 now.

Didn't find a single shed today, but I did walk up on a buck at about 20 yards and he had about 1 1/2" of velvet growing out already!
