Found the other side to the 4 pt shed today. With a very mild winter, this year has been tough. The sheds to this set were dropped 3 miles apart. Our deer like to roam.

Good job everyone! I will going out 1 day this weekend for a all day shed hunt. I hope by now most bucks have drop. Still seems slow this year from what I have been seeing. Got skunked the last 2 times out!

Went to hit a spot one last time today and picked up a fresh goofy one but then I jumped a buck holding both sides still. Guess I'll have to keep checking it.

    Tim, I love big 8pts!

You guys doing any good this weekend so far?

I got the go ahead for a full day of shed hunting tomorrow! Just starting to map out all the properties I want to hit tomorrow. And the Temps dropped 20 degrees or so and cloudy all day, going to be a perfect day!

Pulled one oldie in the city as you can tell from the trash around it. There was a lot more that I couldn't get in the pic. Also found several homeless setups, one I was able to get a picture of. Looked like something off of naked and afraid lol. I find it funny that there were Air Jordans sitting outside the hut but yet they are living in a hut...gotta have them kicks.

Found a road shed today. No time for a picture with the traffic so put me down for one more.

We have a wood lot next to my work, that is maybe a acre, and sits next to the highway in a pretty busy area. Last year a 6-point walked right through our parking lot during daylight hours so I know they're around but, can that small of a lot hold a deer?

Going to walk during lunch for sheds

well took a little walk, looks like they travel through the area often but no sheds found. I did end up finding a camp of some sort with a freshly put out fire, looks like someone is living in the woods near my work.

Those are my best spots. I've pulled 9 sheds the last two years out of a 2 or 3 acre lot. Around here big bucks grow in the cities around churches, factories, and cemeteries so I always walk them. Plus you can knock out the whole area and not be wondering if you really missed any.

Virginia was a bust! Since I have been back not much time to go search. I will try to make a good effort this coming weekend.

How do you go about walking cemeteries? Do most places give you permission?

These usually don't have anyone watching after them and it is just a little wood lot in the middle of a bunch of stones so I just park as though I'm there to visit a grave and walk through the woods and back out. I have talked to some of the workers and told them I was just going to walk some deer trails and they are usually fine with it. I also mow one of the cemeteries so I get free range there lol
