Interesting Nov 7th has the most activity on your camera and correlates with the most Pope and Young bucks. I guess that's a day you don,t want to miss! Thanks guys, cool stuff
I think I need at least 4 more years to get a really solid pattern down. If we get an early November snow of 3"+ I will get 3-5 bucks on camera during day light the day before that. Which in turn will skew the data. November 5th sticks out as we got a large snow on the 6th during 2013. What also isn't shown in the data is 2012 was the 2nd year I had cameras and ran them hard. I have hunted all my life (30 years old) but it's only been the last 2-3 years that I can honestly say have been giving me good data because I have the skills required to find and stay on top of big deer. I can also tell you the minor peak of activity in my data in mid October directly relates to some friends putting big deer down this past fall. That week I actually plan to burn some vacation this fall. Again it looks too early for me to tell but I think after 3-5 more years of data I will have a graph that will be going up and down like a roller coaster but bottoming out higher and higher as we get closer to November 7th. You can already start to see this pattern in the data I currently have.
It seems like you might see a sort of secondary rut phase as well like is often talked about. Very good idea with those spreadsheets. They will definitely speak volumes for your area in a few more years.
