This might sound bad but we need a hammer in office, not a nail that joins things together. We need a hammer that pounds through the bs and does things because they are right, not because they are going to win votes.

To be honest I will be doing cart wheels no matter who wins. Anything to get the current guy out.

Ted Cruz here. I'd settle for Scott Walker.
Before being a senator, Cruz has been a LOT more than a communist raised islamist who acted as a community organizer. If one technical citizen can be president then it's fair game for a decent guy too.

Sorry but that won't be happening. They are all establishment hacks that stink of crony capitalism. All
fully beholden to the corporate government complex and self perpetuating bureaucratic monstrosity that is the federal government.

Would never happen, but I'd throw a vote for this guy,

As for anyone else just haveta see, doubt it'll matter either way. Tend to focus more on local, like county local, cause that's about all can really control or has any effect on day to day.

I agree with many that take an approach of wait and see what develops from the candidates. The Republicans will have a bruising primary season with so many candidates vying for money and votes so I think that we will see a "robust" debate and a more clear choice will emerge. I have not seen anyone on the Dem side willing to tackle Hillary but I am assuming someone of substance will. I am greatly looking forward to 2016 as we will at least get rid of one of if not the most inept presidents ever but I will cast my vote if Hillary wins the primary I am going back to the basics with my "ABC's" Anyone but Clinton.

I'm thinking the candidates with the best chance, in the next election, may be those with little connection to DC (congressmen, connections to current or prior cabinets, etc).

Imho-Bobby Jindal or Carly Fiorina maybe. Rand probably not. Hillary or Biden heck no.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mike Huckabee win it.

    Then why did you?

You don't have to just vote for the "R", you know?

Because as voters we are given two candidates who have any chance of winning and for the last several elections it has been a cycle of vote for who you think would suck less... Sucks but it's the truth.

Until they change how the election is tallied, that two headed monster will not change either.

If we ever want a viable 3rd party candidate, that party will have to win at least 15% of the popular vote the election before to be considered for the debates in the next election.

Romney was not winning last election. If anyone seriously wants change, a vote for Romney was a complete waste.

A 3rd party candidate will only give the election to the democrats. People who vote democrat always stick together like wet dog crap. We don't need a third party, we need to take back the republican party. I like/want Rand but I am curious to see Cruz's full platform.

Me too but it's the truth. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. It's not so much because the third party wouldn't be the right person, it's because the democrats simply cannot be beaten that way, it will never happen.
