Anyone watching the race? Predictions for the season? Hopefully, we get to see another Daytona 500 victory for Dale Jr today.

I want Michael Waltrip to win, he is funny to me. I do like Smoke but he obviously can't win today.

No win for the 88 today. Trying to make moves. Turn 4 has been vicious today.

It was a great finish. I'm honestly getting tired of the ride and wait style of the plate tracks. I really enjoy pack racing, but I miss the numerous lead changes.

They have almost ruined Nascar racing. It is closer to IROC racing than real stock car racing. In the attempt to make everything equal, Gone is the innovation, gone is the driving. They need to take away the aerodynamics, take away traction from the tires, so they can take away the restrictor plates. Make drivers have to take their foot off the gas and brake in order to make it through the corners. bring acceleration back, bring being able to generate that extra horsepower important again.

Under rules today, Kulwiki never would have won his championship, Rudd never would have been able to have his steak of season with a win in his owner operated team.

I love racing, grew up with it my entire life at PA dirt tracks. I'll take a sprint car race at a 1/2 or 3/8 dirt track any day over nascar. But I do watch since its racing and there is nothing else worth passing the time on Sundays. But I agree that Nascar is getting very predictable. I watch the 500 start to finish as its the first race, but the other races... maybe check in half way through, then watch the last 50.

I've grown up on Nascar and racing. The past few years, it has really gone down with the way they keep changing the chase rules, etc. but I still love it. We go to talladega every year. Love hearing the pack come charging towards you at 200 mph!

i'll stick to racing karts. I would rather drive than watch any day. dirt is always more exciting!

sorry to say but a champion is the best for the entire season not just one race. jeff would have tied sr with 8 championships and jimmie would only have one I think. I think nascar better revert to the old days on the points format before it's too late but that might already be here.

Anyone see that Stewart - Hass is switching to Ford after this season?

haven't heard yet. I think the last couple of years chevy has been underperforming compared to years past. might be they see a rules package coming for ford to gain an advantage. or hendrick is starting to charge too much for their engines?

Chevy has won the last 8 manufacturers championships. I think ford just paid more money.
