Things will be up on the website shortly with pics, however thought I'd drop a note here for those waiting. BT-X Specs: 28" Cam - 6" Brace - 50lb to 80lb options - 25.5" to 28" Draw - 31" ATA - 333FPS (@28") 31" Cam - 6.25" Brace - 50lb to 80lb options - 27" to 31" Draw - 31" ATA - 350fps (@30") Significant new pieces of technology to note on this bow include the new Micro Sync Dial, giving shooters the ability to time the cams without a bow press. It also has a new riser design that removes unwanted weight and balances the bow better. While the brace heights are around 6".........looking at the riser geometry on this bow will show you that it has nearly no reflex in the riser design. You can't see this at face value, but the limb pockets are also 1/4" wider. The CPX design is a bit longer on this one as well which is what contributes to the nearly zero reflex riser design. Based on this I'd expect this to be the most stable short bow evermade. It should shoot and balance much more like an 8" brace height bow because of this riser design. I've already got one on order and fully expect this to be the best treestand bow they have made. Will update with a full review once I get my hands on one. There are 9 other bows as well between BowTech, Diamond, Stryker, and Excalibur. If you have any specific questions I'll do my best to respond. **Updated - I was sent conflicting info on the speed when I recieved my info a few days ago. The bow is indeed 350fps @ 30".**
I would like a new BowTech but I hate the split limb bows, I understand it facilitates the larger cams but it looks weak and cheap.
Structural looks, it looks weaker than the traditional construction. Oh sure with advances in technology things can be made lighter and stronger but how did that work out with the Challenger with an unintended impact?
Didn' your solid limb Destroyer break Sota? I am looking forward to shooting this new bow. The numbers are misleading though, saying 350@31" means it is really 340 IBO because that is measured at 30". I have never cared about that though, I buy based on feel.
I can't see a cam that is that busy, looks like there a dozen more more parts to it. It takes a minute to add a twist to a cable or even less to adjust the timing with a simple adjustment of the limb stop.
Yep my limbs failed without warning. I know that but based on the number of times I shot that bow it was on borrowed time.
Yes. Optimized for each range. They did this for the Fanatic 2.0 too. The BT-X on the short cam is 15fps faster at 28" than the long cam at the same length due to the shorter brace and optimized draw curve.
In the past the short draw length guys didn't see the speed, and the long draw guys didn't have as smooth of a draw. When trying to please everybody on a single cam you compromise on one end of the spectrum versus the other. No compromise now, everybody gets a cam thats ideal for them.
Has anyone heard what finishes are available? There is nothing on the website. The one Jim is holding at the show looks like Kryptek Typhon that would be cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll be the first to say it, I am really disappointed in this bow from specs. Its basically a redo of the Invasion with a tweaked PowerShift cam. I'll give it a shot, but its too short for my liking and no way in heck will I shoot a 6" brace bow in the woods. That being said, the added timing adjustment is a neat feature. Someone, I believe it was trial, said it can be done on the limb stop. This is incorrect. You want to set timing so both cams begin and end their rotation at the same time, not just at the end of the rotation.
Rick.......how is this bow better then my destroyer 350?? Specs wise I mean. I may shoot some bows this year out of boredom.......don't need one but it's been a few years. Elite has my attention right now.
