Here's a quick video of Saturday's hunt with little editing. It's all on a POV camera so there is nothing fancy and only the action shots. Hope you enjoy.
I can't wait to get back at it! I've been so busy with work, school, and life, I haven't had a chance to even pick my license up yet! I'll get it this weekend though and start knocking them out of the sky.
Some really good deals. Called customer service and they said the sale ended a half an hour ago. I tried on-line and my order went thru. I wouldn't wait long.
Mine went through online about 15 minutes ago too. Only bought the pitboss sweatshirt because it was only $21 shipped. Can never have too many hoodies. Did you use other promo code for signing up for newsletter? Extra 20% off. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I had a dozen full body mallards in my cart and backed out right before I submitted. Did the same with the lessers haha. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Didn't see anything I really need. I could've bought a bunch but I decided against it. Crazy I know lol I did get a braided duck strap though. Since I don't have one yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Last minute traffic run on alfalfa this morning. Only shot two but not bad for not being in the field next to the X and shooting more than the guys on the X. Going to head back there tomorrow. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
4 more this morning. Have some 40 degree low weather coming this week so I'm hoping there will be some birds migrating. If so, I may take a couple hours off one of these mornings coming up to do some hunting. Our early goose closes the 18th. I cannot believe how many ducks I saw this weekend. Mallards everywhere.
Same thing here. Enormous groups of mallards and I had 40-50 woodies fly 15 yards over me at first light this morning while on a very unsuccessful goose hunt. I have permission to hunt the marsh they came out of so if I don't draw successful for opening day at the refuge I usually hunt at I'll be headed there to beat up some wood ducks.
Hunted IL teal this weekend. I thought there would be some birds pushing ahead of the front but never fired a shot. Yesterday however was a different story. Probably the biggest migration of bluewings I've ever seen. We got into a few bunches, my 15 month old pup got to do her thing, (she looked really good), but the majority of birds were high and kept right on going. Fun to be out and to kick off the '16-17 season!
No ducks or geese but I decided to try dove hunting out 2nd day ever and I finally put one on the ground. There are not many birds flying around making it tough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
