Glad you made it out alive. Life jacket bro. I've been there. Swamped two boats in my life. When things start going wrong it happens fast. Brought back some memories reading your post.

I love my Drake Eqwaders so far! I also use to wear the Cabelas 1600 Supermags and the Northenflights, but made the switch this season to the Drake's. I always have used the Drake jackets, hats, hoddies, ets. so have been wanting to try out the waders. My buddy got them last seaosn and had nothing but good things to say about them and after seeing him so comfortable in his every hunt we went on I pulled the trigger on some this year. For our area and when the seasons falls all we need here is the MST's and the LST's. So far they are awesome, I have no complaints what so ever and highly recommend them! The MST's are 3.5MM neoprene and 800 gram boots. The LST's are 5MM neoprene, 1600 gram boots, and are fleece lined inside. With all honesty the LST's make me too hot, I'm actually still using my MST's and have yet to be cold or uncomfortable in them so far. We'll see if this holds true for January as the weather and conditions will continue to drop and get worse.

Anyone here have a Beretta A350 Xtrema?

My husband is about ready to throw his VersaMax in the next body of water he hunts and this is what he's looking into. The guy talked it up well at the gun shop last night. Just curious if any of you have one/hunted with someone who has one?

He's looking to stay with a 3 1/2" chamber due to using it during turkey season.

    Thanks in advance!

I would personally save my pennies to get the A400 Xtreme Unico, I LOVE IT!!!! (But that's just me) I use to love my Benelli Super Black Eagle, it was my go to and always used it and never wanted anything else...but once I shot my buddies A400 Xtreme Unico I had to go get one for myself. I highly recommend it! The 350 Xtrema is a great gun though, especially for the value. It is just Baretta's mid-line gun below the 400 so it just wont have all the bells and whistles. For about $900 its not a bad buy and will certainly put a hurtin on fowl! Check out some review videos on you tube on the two to compare and contrast them, there is great info about them on there. That's what I did as well as shooting them both. Good luck!

Thanks for the opinion on it THW. He is going to order one next month so he can have it for his Arkansas snow goose hunt. Not sure which one he will decide. He shot a Beretta yesterday and loved the way it felt.

Talking about yesterday - we limited out on Eiders and shot 2 buffleheads! Ended up making an impromptu trip to Cape Cod (10 hour drive, not fun) - and did a sea duck hunt. Husband went last year and had it planned for this year - then everyone else backed out except for him and his coworker/boss. So I headed up with him and enjoyed myself. Getting a drake Eider (top left in the picture) - and then my bufflehead drake and husbands hen. The bufflehead is the most gorgeous one I've ever seen. The color doesn't do any justice in the picture. Even the guide thought it was one of the prettier ones. He estimated it probably at 4 years old. Didn't get any bands this trip. But, saw probably 2500+ birds. The push was really on.

Very cool! That's something that I will probably never get the chance to do.

Travis, if you ever get time, I do recommend it. It was relatively inexpensive and the guide spends all his time on water, weather it is hunting or lobster catching. He knows his ducks. (Plus he was a hoot).

OK, they're gorgeous birds when mature. My picture I have doesn't do it any justice. It'll be our second hwn/drake pair mounted. But, my first drake, ever.

Damn straight! Put my first drake on the wall also. Beautiful birds!

He rode shotgun with me on the way home from the taxidermist, haha

Sounds and looks like a awesome hunt. Did you forget to post a pic? I don't see a bufflehead in there. I'd like to see a pic of it.

I didn't forget...just didn't post it. Truly does the bird no justice (didn't know he was doing a picture like this). It's at the taxidermist now.

Picked up a few cabelas floaters to go with my mallards. We usually kill a few geese a trip. Maybe these will help with a few more.

Here are some pics of my redhead pair I shot last year. I got them back in late October. Took close to a year but worth the wait!

I'm still debating on getting my redhead mounted. Going back to reel foot in a few weeks so maybe I'll wait and see how that plays out.

    Looks good!

I don't have any mounted but that's because I haven't shot any type of hybrid yet. Figure most of the rest are a dime a dozen. I'll mount the first pintail with a really nice sprig though. Don't see them much here.
