I have done it plenty of times. Just make sure you get one wide enough. I'd like to pick up a nucanoe frontier 12 just for this reason. I hunt out of my ascend when I go kayak hunting now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
I was very close to getting a Frontier 12 back in May. I passed for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Went out this morning and ended with two mallards and a canvasback. Kinda slow but still a fun hunt. We saw some pretty big groups of mallards that were way too high to even bother calling at, but good to see them in the area. It'll be warm here the next couple days, with highs in the 70's then drops to lows in the 20's. Hoping we get a push of ducks in the near future.
Wish I was going to be home this weekend to do some goose hunting with this weather system coming in but have in-law Thanksgiving 2.5 hours away.
Grats on the canvasback. Been waterfowl hunting for 24 years ans still cant seem to pull a trigger on 1 Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
What a hunt this morning. We finally got that big push of birds we needed. Shot 4 mallards and 2 gadwalls- including my first banded bird. Turned out to be a Jack Miner band so that was just icing on the cake.
Getting hammered with snow today but after it's done seeing that makes me want to go check a few flooded corn fields out.
Went out sunday and shot 4 greenheads. I'm going to try and get out a few times over the holiday weekend, we are coming down to the last week and a half of the regular season.
Unfortunately pretty well everything is frozen here now. Might try breaking ice over the weekend if I can find anything worth hunting.
Awesome stuff fellas! I can't wait for season to open here!!!!! Leave for vacation tonight, but when return I hope to get at it a good amount!!! Nice shooting and keep up the good work guys! Will def be following along this thread! We grassed one of our new boats this weekend and it got us completely jacked up for the season to start!
Hell yeah. We went out this morning and were a little late setting up. Missed the ducks and a few flights of geese. We did knock down 2 honkers Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
For some reason we have very few geese around this year. Last year at this time they were everywhere, and you could watch them come off the river each morning. Even up on the Yellowstone there are very few.
More then likely you dont have a resident bird population. Last year you were seeing migratory birds and depending on weather they had no reason to leave your area. 2 years ago the migratory birds got pushed down here and stayed through March. We were killing birds in feb and March banded in Ontario. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
