A buddy of mine had a couple dozen fully flocked Dakota geese. A goose landed in our spread and walked around for a while. When it was standing still, it was hard to pick it out from the decoys. They are crazy realistic.
That's all we typically do. Occasionally a farm pond or something that's holding birds. I just don't have any good land. I'm late getting to the waterfowl scene so I just have the scrap land.
Boat rebuild complete! Well Kind of. Still need to put the motor and blind on, and get registration all sorted out. Other than that she is ready to roll come October 8th!
I picked this up last week. Taking it to the lake tuesday to do the proper motor break in. So far I like it though. My little one likes it as well Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Anyone have recommendations on waders? I don't really have any of the proper equipment for duck hunting. I'm not really wanting to spend more than $150-$175, so what do you think is the best for my money in that price range? We went this past weekend and got about 95% of the blind brushed in. I'm planning on going out tomorrow and finishing it up.
I bought the lacrosse mallard 2 last year for about $160 I think. I haven't use me them a ton but they should keep me plenty warm when the cold comes but also light enough so I'm not getting super hot early on. But lacrosse makes all around good products so you can't really go wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought Winchester waders my freshman year of college (26 now), for $99 and they've been great! I didn't wear them a ton of the last couple years but I do use them when we fence across our creeks quite often. No complaints at all for that lifespan and price. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
What's everyone running for goose floaters? Also what would you guys pay for these? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
big foot and Bigfoot only. things are tanks that last Forever. I only wish they would make more than 4 poses
I recommend going somewhere and trying on some waders before you buy a pair online. Ive only ever owned cabelas brands. Depending on how much you hunt and where you hunt will determine how long they last. Come late late season i usually try and put a pair of pants or duct tape over to reduce the ice cutting into the neoprene. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Intersting idea but it makes sense. I may have to find a old pair of sweat pants for late season now.
I love my cabelas super mags. Best waders I've ever had. I have thought about trying a pair of breathables though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
I second cabelas waders. especially the super mags for mid to late season. Their return policy isn't what it used to be but they still have a good one. I would go cabelas or lacrosse. the new drakes and banded are crazy expensive but look good. I'm also curious about the new Frogg Toggs
Right now i have the cabelas northern flight waders for early season. And cabelas super mag 1600 for late. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Solo hunt on small slough this morning. I was being really picky with the ducks so only shot 1 mallard but got my limit of geese again. Been an outstanding year for me so far this year. TON of new birds in the area now. Too bad farming is about to take over my life.
