    I also enjoy pulling slabs through the ice, but I respectfully think your nuts for going out on that thick of ice unless there are serious inches added by then! :evilgrin:
    I once saw holes in the center of our lake open up periodically over the winter and the DNR shut our lake down and block all acess points. Leading theory is carp swirling and opening it up but it was 2-3' infront of our house and open water out there...

    If it were saturday and there was only one inch of ice, I'd have to agree. But with the crazy low temps they have, by saturday there should be at least 4-5 inches of ice.

    It's 350 acres and deepest spot is 10'... Spot we fish is maybe 100yds off shore. You will see some pics if we get out!

    Sure thing! I've wanted to get a group of us Minnesotans together sometime this year. I'm mostly on small local lakes but I do go to red and leech a few times each year.

    Me and Travis have talked about it a bit. Just have to get a plan rolling and do it!

    I'm down! Any weekend I almost am available! I'd love to drive to your neck and fish some lakes near St. Cloud. My cabin is up by Alexandria so also do a lot of fishing there

    The first initial sheet of ice is on and covering a lot of smaller bodies of water in central IL. The next 2 weeks I might be fishing up north with temps as low as they are.

    I am getting pretty fired up for Ice fishing myself now. My deer season is not going super awesome. I can't wait to hit some Iowa hard water.
