It's been a pretty good January so far, I'll be back at it in the morning.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Nice fish! I've never fished for trout before.

I'll be back at Mille Lacs tomorrow, and then Leech Lake Feb. 10, 11, and 12.

Had a good day on Lake Simcoe with my cousin today, whitefish were caught in 55-60 feet and the laker in 70 feet. Got one whitefish one a verbrado and the rest on Williams ice jigs.[IMG]

Went to check out some Mississippi back waters yesterday and in the few fish we caught it was worth it. I caught my biggest perch to date. Might be heading back this weekend to cover more ice.

12inch perch. And they have been catching bigger out there. Can't wait to get out again. It's slow the last couple days though. Everything is tight lipped.

Do you eat fish caught in the Mississippi backwaters? Been a
long time since I've fished the Mississippi. Thinking about getting back into it. I live about a mile away.

Yep, around what area do live? If you do go out just make sure you got safe ice. With the river rising and falling as much as it has plus the weird temps a lot of places aren't the best to go out on.

Nice! What's a average crappie there?

Everything we're keeping is 10.5" to just under 14". Been throwing back a ton of 8-10" crappies this year too which is great.
