Nothing in Oneida Co. Had good pictures Halloween week but nothing since Nov 2nd. Saw only small tracks.

saw about 15 doe Friday and another 15-20 Saturday the majority of those being fawns. Not single buck. Pictures showed good movement 10/20-10/27, but the big ones disappeared since 11/2.

Are fawns the last to go in estrous?

    VERY disappointing weekend.

Normally if the fawns are in healthy shape they will come into estrous late, usually December around here.

I am in Sawyer County. Filled my tag on Friday so now all I can do is scout and check cams. I have some nice bucks on cam mid day searching for does. Quite a few bucks just shy of P&Y minimum.

I am semi-retired and have to work Tues-Thurs. but next year will take these two weeks off like I did when I was working full time.

Trempealeau Co. Young bucks are pushing does. Big guys are locked down with does. Saw 3 mature does the entire last week and a half. They kicked their fawns. Movement is very, very slow.

Jefferson Co. Big guys locked down with does. Haven't seen a mature doe in over a week all fawns.Small bucks are running around like crazy. Scapes are being hit by little bucks.

Last weeks indian summer shut everything right down and it hasn't recovered yet. Looks like it will be interesting for gun season staring Nov 21.

I saw two good sized bucks cruising on Thursday. One around 8 AM and another around 3 PM near CTY OO by the Birkie parking lot. Both were nose down looking for does. Going out to check cams this afternoon. Wish I still had a tag.

Nothing but after dark pictures. Second time the 9pt has been on the camera in front of my stand so they are moving. No idea what I need to do to get them there during daylight.

At this point I have no idea and rifle next week isn't going to make them move any more during daylight.

I have to say, I'm pretty optimistic for gun season. I think the rut is late this year, at least for Sawyer county. Just gota get a hot doe in front of you.

The biggest deer our group of 9 has shot during gun hunting in Sawyer county came off of hot does. (2012 and 2013)

I don't know what you call this "rut" we had this year. It was so long and drug out. The most chasing of mature deer was in mid october.
