I felt about the same way, stiff cycle and didn't balance well.

I'm pretty confused how the trg9 can be an 80 lb bow and shoot that slow. My Hoyt CST is 80 and it's fast AND accurate. I've always been a fan of mathews, I have the ChillR and my old ZX7X will be something I never sell but those stats for bows above stink.

Speed is more determined by cam and bow design..not so much poundage. My bow is a 70 pound bow and won't shoot more than 260 Prolly. Just the design

I just shot the new HTR this weekend. It's hard to say much about it since the draw was way to short for me but it did feel pretty smooth and when the shot released the was very little to no movement. May haveta take a better look when the shops start having more in stock.

    New bow the monster wake.
I liked the chill platform so it will probably shoot very nicely. But the specs are horrible. The speeds are low for that brace and 5.4 pounds at 35 inch AtA is ridiculous[IMG]

Interesting. Il bet they sell a lot of these with the longer ATA. It would be a good target/ hunting combo bow.

Oh wait, I just noticed the 5 inch brace..... I don't know about that. Would have to shoot one for sure.

I'd try it, maybe the 5" BH isn't as big a deal as it seems it would be. That price is going to be a deal breaker for most people though.

Looks like a $1700 boat anchor! PSE has a 5 inch BH bow that shoots 20 FPS faster. Heck, theres 6 inch BH bows that are faster!

The Wake certainly isn't for everyone but I will say I shot it a bunch today and WOW - it doesn't feel anything like you think it would. Super smooth draw, holds great, and incredibly quiet with little to no jump/vibration. For a 5" brace bow with a 350+ fps speed rating it's very impressive.

For me the HTR is still the winner in overall shootability/size/weight/speed combo but I can see this bow being very popular among a certain crowd.

I want to shoot one!!! It looks awesome; however, the weight would be something to factor in. But like Justin said, I guess you'll have to shoot one to see.

Lol...me too! Just didn't see anything special about the bow to have a crazy high price....lol. I'm sure some will pay it though.

There is a lot of machining and material cost in that riser design. I know it looks similar to the no-cam riser but it's actually got a lot of characteristics of a shoot through riser design which requires a much more expensive raw material and a lot more machining.

I'm sure some of it is the fact they know they can get a premium for it but the items I mentioned above absolutely cost more too.

Man, every single one of those bows is hideous. Mathews might be smooth but god damn are they ugly!

I actually prefer the look of a Mathews over most other manufacturers. Everyone is different in what they like and dislike. And I'm ok with that.
