Anyone else curious about the backwall and the valley, with it having "no cams" ? Just something I have been thinking about

I'm kind of excited about the new hunting lineup for this year. Not for myself, I'm holding onto my Z7X for another few years, but for my wife. she's surpassed the level as an archer what her old hoyt ruckus will perform at. I think the mathews Z2 will be an interesting setup for her at 25" and 50 lbs. We plan on shooting the hoyt and bowtech offerings for her as well, but I think the Z2 is a sweet looking hunting rig. we'll see how they all shoot tho before generating opinions and presumptions.

I am the same way, I like to make sure everything works well together, from pattern to brands on my clothes, bows, etc...

Any comments at this point will be like beating a dead horse... but I'm bored so where's my stick...

Pretty much like Justin has said, these bows fit in line with what a flagship hunting bow is right now. Mathews has alway compromised a few fps for the smoothness and ease of the draw. Their looks have always been controversial... you like them, or you don't. Their brand has always been controversial, you're either a fanboy or a hater (if you're in the middle, someone is still judging you one way or another, just get over it).

I won't be getting rid of my z7x for one of these new bows, but that's because I don't want to spend the cash on my bow right now. If the play money account was higher, this would probably be top on my list to shoot.

It all still goes back to the old advice that everyone gives every time someone asks about a new bow. You have to shoot it and compare for yourself.

However, to say this bow is not impressive is rather naive. This is bow that doesn't use a cam, but falls right in line with all the other top end hunting bows on the market, for the same money. That's pretty cool.

I just want to say that, for the record, I think the HTR in Lost OT or Stone Tactical look bad-a**. That's all.

Funny, you mention that, Justin (regarding the colors). I was looking through this morning, and Stone Tactical is awesome. Definitely my favorite color.

Definitely want to read more (hopefully more is published) regarding the "no cam" system.

I'm a sucker for snow camo. That OT is the best.

TRG stands for target. The HTR is the only model meant for the woods. That is why the others are more expensive and don't look as good.

Oh man forgot about that. Maybe thats why there new hunting bow is 100 more dollars then the normal $999.

I have 2 Mathews bows and I had not planned on getting a 3rd. I shoot Mathews because I am a BIG FAN of Single Cam bows. With that being said, the No Cam is very appealing to me. I like the HTR and I can't wait to shoot it. If it goes like I think, I will be bringing one home. :tu: I just have to decide on the color.

Can't wait to shoot It and see how it does. I like the Nitrum from hoyt. I don't know if either will be good enough to replace my Energy32. The color's they offer this year are definitely sweet.

I'd have to see it in person first. It would be a NO GO if there is any shine to it what so ever. Other then that I would agree.... BAD A$$. :p
