You said he had to say that. That was my only complaint about what you said. The rest I basically agreed with but was pointing out the rest of the story. I'm done, this is rediculous
In all fairness your original post implied that regardless of what I thought about the bow I would come out and say that it's awesome, which is far from the truth. Is my opinion slanted a bit? Probably. Am I blowing smoke up your butt on purpose? Absolutely not. Although I am thinking about changing my avatar.... If you don't want to take my word for it go shoot one for yourself and see what you think.
Exactly and that's exactly what most of us thought with his remarks. Those of us that have been here for years know better. Ok, now I'm done
You summed up basically what I was saying. You get a free bow every year from them and anyone who thinks you wouldn't be at least slightly biased in your review is kidding themselves. Personally, I shoot as many different bows as I can and make up my own mind and in a roundabout way that's what I was trying to get everyone else to do. Don't take the words of Pro Staffers or guys who are sponsored by said products....go shoot other bows too and decide for yourself. I really have no interest in shooting the Wake because I would never spend that much on a bow and I don't particularly care for the specs on it. I mainly just hunt now and this is not a hunting bow. I find it quite comical how some of the guys on here hang on your every word like a bunch of teenage girls. I was starting to think your last name was Beiber! LOL...maybe this should be your new avatar.
Common sense 101 - Slam sponsor's products / lose sponsorship = no more free bows. I wouldn't expect anything else out of you but let's not be in denial. :p
Are you this big of a tool in real life, or is it just reserved for the times you're behind a computer screen? Let it go already. SCFox
You keep bringing it up.....I'm not the one throwing insults around, just responding to them! You must belong to the Beiber fan club!
First of all, I've never brought anything up. Second of all, it's crap like this that takes away from good archery sites. I don't know what your experience in archery is, or your perceived knowledge, but rather than jumping on every Mathews thread and spewing the crap that you do, how about being constructive and actually try helping someone out? SCFox
What crap do I spew out on every Mathews thread? I own a Mathews and have shot them for 10 years, so maybe you need to get your facts straight. I have said nothing on this thread that was not the truth and I was trying to help people out by telling them there are other bow manufacturers out there to try out, not just Mathews. Just because someone who gets a free bow from Mathews every year says its the baddest bow out for 2015 doesn't mean its the gospel. And I'd wager good money that he hasn't shot all the 2015 models out there, so to claim that is a little misleading. Heck, I'll bet he hasn't shot a 2015 model not named Mathews......so maybe he meant it was the baddest 2015 Mathews out there.
Let's see a pic of the bow in stone tactical I'm curious to see what it looks like besides the pic of the bow on the website. Is it a shiny Grey or flat color grey?
I just finished my in-depth write-up tonight and I'll be shooting some photos tomorrow or this weekend. Look for everything up on the site most likely before Monday.
For once we are all on topic about the thread, why would we want to diverge again? And Justin I am very excited to read your right up and see that stone tactical! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well better late than never I suppose. Unfortunately I came down with a fun case of stomach flu the weekend I was originally going to finish this up. Didn't have time until yesterday to get it wrapped up. Mathews HTR No Cam ST Bow Review | Bowhunting.com Blog
But don’t take my word for it. Swing by your local Mathews retailer and shoot one today. However if you end up with a few less dollars in your bank account when you leave don’t blame it on me. Just placed my order and yes my bank account has a few less dollars in it!
I picked up my HTR two days ago after shooting my choice of Hoyt and other Mathews. Once I shot the HTR, I was sold because it just felt right in my hands. It is quiet, smooth and a real pleasure to shoot. I think it is a great bow that I love to shoot, so I feel that it is worth the price tag.
