Sounds like it's well worth the work in this sweltering September to be all set come November. I already am worried about getting soaked in sweat using my climber Friday afternoon.

Temps are supposed to drop to the low to mid 80s.

Ruger were the sheds you found off the property bigger than the deer you shot last year?

without the spread they measured 106 and change as a clean 8. The buck I shot last year was just over 130 as a 10. So I'd say about the same. I actually saw that eight in my back yard last November, and he was impressive.

Have they let anyone hunt it before or are you the first there letting in?

I'm the first. They have owned the place since 86 and she is the type of person who won't even let neighbors track on their land. She's let me shed hunt in the past but this is a HUGE step up. I'm hoping that it may be a foot in the door towards all year permission.

The property is sweet. It's got a ridge on the backside that drops down to a creek that is surrounded by very thick, nasty cover the bed in. Then goes into open hardwoods for a ways then back up to another ridge. The whole property is torn up.

That's awesome! I'm always looking for more land and ask customers when I'm doing work for them, but have yet to get any. But most will let me come back and shed hunt though. I usually pick up 1 or 2 new property's a year.

Sorry guys after pulling camera card last week and this 92degree temps. I opted to wait until this weeks cool snap to hit up KY. But now it looks like I'll be working and I'll also playing a lil softball this weekend. So I don't know when I'll get out there.
