If I had to guess it would probably be because it's right before Christmas.

I would say at this juncture, may as well wait for the new ones to come out, go test them and see if you like them, if not, buy a 2014 and it'll be 200 bucks off and still be a brand new bow

This means that you won't be able to touch (buy) the new bow until early spring at the soonest..... in the exception of the elite.... :p

They probably have the new bows like they did last year and will kill a deer or 2 before release date. Lol

I held off on buying a Chill R this year hoping that next year they would change the design. I am not a huge fan of the gridlock riser and if I am going to shoot a bow for 5+ years, I want to be happy with how it looks as well as how it shoots.

Not sure if its true or not but I've gone to the same bow shop for years and trust the owners very well, and supposedly Mathews has a Carbon bow in the making. Cant trust all that you hear but the more i think about it, it makes sense for them to come out with one. Anyone else heard any news like this??

I think the gridlock riser is the best looking design in the industry. Hoyt bows look foolish with the funky tubes and the grip out past the riser, PSE bows look like gimmiky toys, but the grid lock is pure sexy. But, im no mathews fan boy either. Iv owned bear bows, pse, hoyt, mathews and now mission. I just love the look of the gridlock.

I think the gridlock has seen it's last day. That thing has been around way too long. I bet for 2015 we will see a new riser platform.
