I found a really good spot this year with the buck sign indicating an older buck. Spot 29 on my map is where I will need to be set up based on thick cover and my entrance.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what type of wind I will need. I am thinking some sort of east wind, like a northeast wind so nothing in that ravine to my northwest can smell me.

Looking for assistance... I've hunted this property the last 2 years, but this year it looks to be more promising than ever as the entire field is planted (last 2 years it has been too wet to plant).... And now half of the field is beans. I have never had the chance to hunt over a bean field, and to say I'm excited is an understatement.

    Key:
    Red Box - Property line
    Blue - Water
    Pink - Known trails
    Orange - Mineral Site
    Yellow C - Corn
    Green B - Beans

I want to get a stand on the south end of the bean field... But there are 0 trees to get a stand in. The white star is a poplar tree that I MIGHT be able to get in, but we will see. I am planning on getting a stand on the northern edge of the field where the corn/beans meet.

I know it's early, but my question to you guys... How would you set up your stands on the southern edge? More times than not we will have a NE wind come September/October so it will be extremely hard to get in there with those winds.

I wouldn't get overly excited about hunting beans. Once they turn brown it sucks until they pick them but to answer your question try and get into the 1 tree and wear skyline camo. but I would see where and if they are hitting the beans first. If they are coming out of the field farther north then all you have to be is south of where they come out not the south side of the field.
