Hi a buddy of mine and me are going to have a public land hunt get together in grundy county illinois we will be on two pieces of property both over 2000 acres and within 5 min of each other we will meet the first weekend of opening day sat and sun both days we will meet in the early morning at our meet spot talk a min and get ready for the hunt.both pieces of land are really cool you can decide to hunt the hardwood ridges and creeks of the wetlands with ton of beding and water or the prarie lands with big oaks and tons of crp both on the same street just 5 min apart biat access is allowed at one being it borders the river there is a free archery range out to 50 yards and it has a 15 by 15 deck 30 ft off the ground . After we go to eat and talk about our hunts some guys go out for lunch to and come back we go after what ever we can shoot most guys shoot does but weve had years were someone drags a nice buck out if youd like to participate message me i can give you any info you need me or my buddy will post more as it gets closer but we go out to have a great time with a great bunch of guys we are not trying to win anything or going for giants just a good time me and my buddy usually host one every year on archery talk but we figured we would do it here this time we do this always the first weekend sat sun after opening day also we have to private pieces of land that we trade hunts on if you have private land and wanna trade a one or two day hunt let us know thanx .
