The new color options look cool, but I'm more than happy with my ZXT and my Carbon Knight, no room for another bow! LOL

Carbon is lighter and stiffer, therefore, it doesn't have the typical issues a light aluminum bow has. Aluminum will vibrate and be very weak when made as light as the helim.

Plus, hoyt could make the carbon lighter but there is a point of diminishing returns and imo, ,they're right on the line.

I made the comment this weekend that ny current g3 element is my favorite hunting biw of all time. Including accessories. It is a very close 2nd to my target 2006 protec that was 38" a-a and 8+ brace.

It's gard to quantify the differences but from my experience in tuning and shooting, its there.

The balance of the g3 is amazing and I have yet to see another manufacturer even come close in that regard.

I think Mathews has proven that you dont have to re-invent the wheel to attract archers that appreciate quality equipment. They seem to be doing just fine on market share. Some of you sound like a bunch of women that are disappointed in the new Fall clothing line. Many of the bow compaines that tried to make radical changes all the time are out of business.

I am so disappointed the new bows didn't come in flame green, orange, pink, or purple! :poke: :p

You make a good point. When you do radical changes year after year, there isn't sufficient testing. There needs to be a testing period of "advances" so we , the consumer, are getting a quality product.

I had my eye on the chill anyway. I do like the look of the black and blue chillR. Although I'm assuming that most shops will discount the regular chill so that will probably be my next bow. My current bow is 6 years old so I should see huge improvements with a newer one. (Hopefully)

Not only do deer see blue and purple very well, they see it much better than we do. So it's logical to buy a blue / black bow! NOT! Maybe this is why Justin has had such a hard time killing a buck. :poke: :p

When I kill one with my black and blue bow I'm going to write your name in blood for the trophy photos. :D

I like it! Make me famous! :hail: I'm not saying it can't be done. I know there are a ton of guys that kill bucks wearing blue jeans every year... I just try to do what I can to get the upper hand. Gosh I know I need all the help I can get!

I'll do everything I can to prove myself wrong if Mathews wants to send me over a free black/blue bow to hunt with! :p.

Mathews being so detail oriented should have thought of that already! This would require them to pick a different scheme and a different name to coincide with it. Maybe next year we'll see the "Fireball" and they can go with yellow, orange, or red! :p All seriousness it probably doesn't matter.

But now that I have brought it up you will ask yourself every time if they saw the blue on my bow when they busted you for no other apparent reason. Just saying....;)

No I knew that deer could see blue. In fact a couple months ago I posted a study on how deer could see blue. Still doesn't affect me. Keep my movements to a minimum and don't spook/ alert the deer and I am fine
