    TEAM HOYT!!

Im a Hoyt shooter and was waiting for Mathews line up to see how they were gonna out shine Hoyt this year but boy was I wrong it looks like they made a youth/womens bow from the 2013 modles?! If I was gonna buy a Mathews today I would go with the Z7 exteme or the Zxt and possibly the HeliM

I'm a huge fan of longer brace heights...while I won't be getting one (gonna keep shooting Mission Venture) the Creed is the one I'd go with if testing proved to my liking. I don't need fast, I don't need looks...I just need smooth, forgiving and quiet.

Yes you shouldn't always expect great innovation but when companies like hoyt are bringing all new models and they're lighter smoother and faster with a new cam and riser design as well as adding new bows, but in this situation much more is expected of mathews

That's kinda like taking a street bum and giving him a bath and sticking him in a suit LOL Don't see much of a change there and price will be nuts, thankfully I'm happy with my ZXT and my Carbon Knight, no need for new toys!

I was looking at hoyt the other day, they dont have faster bows. Their fastest is 340 if i remember right. Mathews has 2 bows faster. And not sure we can say hoyt makes smoother bows considering most havent touched mathews new ones yet. And really, all the ones i have shot in the past have been hard to beat smooth wise. The creed is amazing for that. Again just seems like you are expecting a lot. Mathews is ahead of most in my opinion, at some point there will be stalls in advances. Improvements on already great products are good, makes amazing products. Proves what they had was already good, they didnt need to scrap it and make a whole new bow, just tweak it and make it even better.

I meant smoother in terms of their bows from last year. They made their fastest carbon yet, redesigned the riser and introduced new technologies. Not just changing the BH or ATA

So what was everyone expecting of Mathews? Were some of you expecting a Carbon bow? Longer ATA? Lighter weight? A lower price? Different grip, color options, new string suppressor options? A faster more forgiving bow? How bout a bow that shoots 360 fps, single cam, 7.5 brace height, 32 ATA, with a Geogrid Carbon riser, in a Tactical Swat Black? Would that make everyone happy?

The way I see it, many people like many different things. I see that Mathews is targeting (pun unintended) a certain demographic. Just like Hoyt, Bowtech, ect. If you don't like their products you may not be who their targeting.

Wow, you're smarter than all of Mathews designers and engineers combined....yes, yes....and yes...Those are all great suggestions and would quite surely have given everyone what they wanted and demanded praise from all archery lovers everywhere!

I believe a blind test needs done. Seriously....someone get 3 or 4 experienced bow shooters together blindfold them and start handing them some bows....obviously just shooting into big bails and directionally instructed but competent people could do this...simply number the bows and have them rate/review based blindly.

Being a loyal Mathews customer i cant wait to shoot it! But i was hoping for ALOT more than just a shorter creed with a bigger brace height. Kinda disappointed.

Was I the only one expecting a small change this year? I mean look at past releases. Switchback --> Switchback XT, Drenalin --> DXT, Z7 ---> ZXT

It's seems to me that the make a big change, then follow it up with a small tweak, then make another jump the following year.

And just to fit into the stereotype, I have and iPhone 5s mounted to my Creed :tu:

I don't know if a bow like I describes could even exist. If it did it would be very expensive therefore there wouldn't be much of a market for it.

But if you do this mathews may drop you or find some way to sue you if you don't place them well.

I am seriously going to attempt to pull this off if I can get enough of the newer line bows together...have to call a couple pro-shops.

It would have to be bows owned by an individual or if brand new with manufacturer approval....if I can't get approval it'd have to be personal owned bows then.

I'm liking where your going with this! I'd even be willing to let you use my creed.

Only downside to the blind test is you can tell by grip in many cases. And many bias people will feel for their grip and vote for that even if its not the best.

Im looking forward to shooting the new Chill, 33" is a good size. Im sure it will shoot nice. I was hoping to see an addition like a limb draw stop on it to stiffen up the back wall. And it seems like many people wanted a longer ata creed, not a shorter one. I guess we will see, last years bows shot nice, im sure these will too, i think most of us were just expecting a bit more

I've given this some brief thought as well....perhaps to exclude grip preference from reviews....making each reviewer wear a rather thick glove...thick enough to minimize the grip differences....can't think of a way to completely remove the possibility of grip influencing but this could greatly minimize it.
