Does anyone know if you can still buy 2014 Covert Red 40 trail cams? I have two of them and wish I had bought four. Amazon says they're unavailable, but there must still be some of them sitting around somewhere?
I would get tbe 2015 Hd40 as it is a better camera. Basically the same phyiscally ,but some internal tweaks. Better battery life,no first dark day pics and faster trigger speed.
Yes, but isn't the 2015 HD 40 Extreme an IR? The Red 40 was a white flash. It has an amazing battery life.
As far as I know, the only white-flash camera that covert makes is the Illuminator. Blessings...........Pastorjim
OK, then I've been using a IR all along ( thought it was a white flash). So, the new Red 40 Extreme HD is simply the replacement of what was the Extreme Red 40? If that's the case I'll buy another one.
Yah the red40s are great cams. But the 2015 hd40 also has a little hood over the microphone I noticed. . Rarely I got first dsrker day pics on the hd40, but not nearly as bad as the 2013/2014 red40 were. But if you layed out each year red40 in front of me I would take the 2015 hd40 hands down.
Yes, this is correct. The only "white flash" camera that Covert makes is the Illuminator. All Extreme Red 40's and HD 40's are infrared - no white flash.
