You said there will be a couple targets in camp we can shoot right?

And no I don't where sock liners. What are they for? To keep you warm? Waterproof? Foot scent killer?

Do they make them in panty hose?

Something to keep in mind guys. The guys im going with in 2016 have been going for 20+ years got ran out of camp as there is a 14 day limit, they have always went 2 weeks early before hunting. they got to hunt 2 days ! Its never been enforced until now! They pack in on horses they rent so staying somewhere else was not an option! Just something to think about!

Apparently you wear them under your wool socks and they r really thin material.

Liner socks are basically for blister prevention, I only wear a pair of Merino hiking socks, if I do get a hotspot....... get some duct tape or zinc oxide tape on there straight away and you should be fine.
I wouldn't worry about space for putting targets, there is masses of space.

I think there is a 14 day limit or something like that but Will has never had a problem in the past. If it became a problem we would just move camp to Homestake Road near by. Our camp stays the same but the people there change don't know if that matters.

A lot of guys hunt all month and don't move camp. If it becomes a problem we will adjust accordingly

Finally got my car sold so I'm definitely good on funds now. I've had a cart online at cabelas just waiting to check out. Had 14 items (yeah I'm behind lol) minus a gps. Wasn't looking forward to bumping the shipping up to get it by middle of next week. We'll I noticed 2 of my items went to back ordered. So I looked em up on Amazon and they had them in Stock cheaper. Well I decided to check other things. Next thing I know I got everything at amazon (minus rain gear) with free prime shipping and I saved so much money, when I added my etrex20 to the cart, it came out the same price as everything I was getting at cabelas. So it's kind of like getting a gps for free. Gotta love amazon!

Yea this rain deal. I bought the 90% pants and jacket I think from sitka. Just one set of rain gear and I'm planning on using my.multi cam uniform for camo. Should I pick up some more rain gear?

And yea panty hose is for blister prevention, works for some, not for others. Doesn't work for me, my feet actually feel hotter when I do that. As long as you've broken in your boots which I have yet to even wear, and you have a good fit, you shouldn't need it. How much ground we thinking about covering? Right now even without having worn my boots for months I could do 5 mile ruck with 50 lbs of gear and be mostly fine on flat ground(I think). I'm guessing 5 to 7 miles hiking up and down with 15 lbs for this trip?

We had a nice cold front move through yesterday and a high of 55. Not gonna be above 65 for awhile now so I'm ready for nice cool weather hunting.

I looked at the 10 day forecast for Minturn CO. Looks like sunny and 70 at least the first couple of days. Hopefully we don't get rained/snowed on too much.

One set of rain gear should be enough. That is all I have

I bet its cold up there tomorrow. Those little hand warmers in your sleeping bag can help if you get chilled. A beanie can be of great help too.

It's chilly here in IL today...anxious to see camp forecast once we're within a few days.
I get the feeling we'll be wanting to put our wood stove in tent this year...didn't even unpack it last year, as temps stayed b/t 44-52 the entire week, almost no fluctuation between day/night temps...which is nothing like past years when 20-70 seems to be more of the fluctuation over an entire week.

    I prefer cool and cloudy...
