A bull rear quarter will go around 65-70 pounds front quarters about 10-12 pounds less (thats with bone in) A cow rear quarter will go around 50 thats with bone in. Debone and you can subtract 15-20 pounds total not for each quarter The weight increases ten pounds for each mile you have to travel
I hear you on that, is there experienced personnel with quartering because I have none, I can watch a bunch of youtube if needed
Watching you tube video will help and yes there should be someone around to help. But you should have an idea what you need to do incase you have to do it yourself. I can quarter them fine but my deboning leaves a little to be determined.
I'm worried about getting all my junk in a small car. I couldn't imagine cramming 2 people's things in there.
That's nothing....you should see what christine can get in that tactical prius....semis can't keep up with that thing
Well the wife stayed home sick today. Looks like we won't be going camping this weekend I was all packed and ready to go. Looks like I'll have to wait until the 20th to get up in the mountains
Hopefully we can run up next weekend or something. Will and crew will be back from Arizona getting camp up so we could help with that but won't get as much time.
If you unsure of what gear you need, take a look at the July/August Edition of Eastmans Bowhunting Journal. Its got everything you need, listed in 5x sections, it makes life very easy. Apart from my boots, towel, waterproof's(which are at Will's already) and sleeping bag..... I'm done
I'm excited I have a lot of prep work to do in two weeks, but going to be worth it. How's the weather up there,
Anyone use the etrex 20? My friends parents are letting me borrow one. I hope it will get the job done.
