What kind of cots are you guys bringing? I've looked at some that fold up like a bag chair, due to the fact that fb and I are taking a car and space will be limited.
That's the kind that I bought. More space I save the better. 3 of us in a truck we will have a lot of crap in it
I've used both Cabelas and Bass Pro fold up cots and liked both. Bass Pro was just like a bag chair and very quick/easy to set up. My Current Cabelas is a little more complex, but is larger and very comfortable, but Heavy...I happened to have gift cards I used on it. I wouldn't hesitate at all to get the Walmart cots - only thing is to check dimensions (especially if you are taller) to make sure you fit on the canvas portion and not resting on one of the end bars all night if it'd be too short. Most all are plenty long, but have noticed some cheaper ones on ebay/amazon are not...
...Oh...and at least for me, Sleep comes so easy after a day in the mountains that I could sleep anywhere!
One of my cots from Wal- Mart is the Rio adventure it was $29.99 all one piece and folds up easily into an included carry bag. My other is a disc o bed from cabela' s more expensive, you have to assemble it, its heavy, but very comfortable. I would honestly just go with the Wal-Mart cot as I have no complaints about it Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk
I got an extra large cot from gander mountain this spring when they were on sale. I needed a long one since I am so tall, it's a little heavy but I'm not gonna carry it anywhere anyway. Do u guys bring Gatorade or something like that to replace salts and electrolytes each day?
With that $100 that everyone pitches in to Will (HUCK) he buys water, gatorade powder, coffee, etc. Lunch is usually something quick and easy (raman, cup o noodles etc. ) Usually the evening meal is pre made (chili, fajitas, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. ) He usually has little debbies for breakfast and for snacks ( honey buns, donuts, pop tarts, crackers, etc. ) I will try and make around 75-100 breakfast burritos we can warm up on the grill of a morning that we can have each morning until they are gone. I recently tried the Powerade zero drops much like the MIO drink enhancer stuff and it works really well. I will probably grab a couple of those to add to water for electrolytes
how many people are we up to? I could bring a big thing of venison chili. would be easier to make it and bring it than try and make it there.
I think we are right around 30-35 guys. Many have their own tents though like matt and the Texas boys. Not sure how many guys from the OZ will be there for sure or not plus a couple of the guys that show up every other year.

Dug another pic from the files... This is from 2012 Big Camp...campmates found this gorgeous bull skull... Some guys seem to think you need to hunt a limited draw unit to get on the big ones...I disagree!
That is a nice find Matt. Mark found one up somewhere too I believe. There are big bulls in there just got to find them
Had a little bit of elk fever so I drove to a local lake that has about 30 acres of high fence with elk in it. Hopefully an opportunity like this happens to me!
