Ebay. I had seen several for $100+. I found one that had been "issued" but looked like it had never even been outdoors. It was in excellent condition.

Good find button. I used a cheap $25 back pack from Wal-Mart up until this year. It had a place for a water bladder. One big pocket and one smaller. It was more cubic inches than what I have now. I only had two problems with it. I put way to much stuff in it I didnt need and it made my back really hot and sweaty. But for over ten years it worked. I still use it for coyote calling contest as I can fit my e call, decoy, spare mags, etc.

I cancelled my Kifaru Frame order and will now be going with Marine ILBE. Its amazing, if you were to lose this in the service its ~$700, buy it on ebay for around $75.

I haven't weighed it yet but will after I get everything on it. Still going to add: sleeping pad, put tent and sleeping bag in dry bags, food, saw, axe, bear spray, etc. Once everything else comes in. It was pretty evenly distributed and wasn't bad walking around. My wifes pack will have her camera, change of clothes, her bag, etc

Also, I cancelled Kifaru order, now I just need to get rid of the High Camp bag, but I will be going with the Marine ILBE. Nice call on that one.

I have a go pro and will take it. If you have a digital camera or camera on your phone take lots of pictures. Its always fun to post everyones stories and pics here when we get back.

Side note on my camping trip. Home stake reservoir is still closed until late fall I emailed one of the water district staff. So looking at other places in area 45 and in the holy cross wilderness area

Weighed my pack with pack frame as is and it came in at twenty one pounds. So I'm guessing it will be around thirty pounds when all said and done. It currently contains: tent, poles stakes, sleeping bag, GPS, maps, jet boil , water filter, empty water bladder, matches, knife, etc

Isn't there a cabin? Or do I have to also get tent? Water filter?
