From Long Prairie, an hour away from you. I have to iron out some details, but should be able to swing this.

Talked with one of my bosses today about elk hunting. He's gone 3 times I believe and gave me some pointers. Also offered to let me use his day pack. It's a badlands pack, he believes it's 1800 ci. One less thing I need to buy!

Let's talk binoculars straps. I'm seeing they go from $15-180 lol. The cheap ones are very basic obviously. I was looking at one that cost around 50 that covered the binos completely which seems nice. What does everyone use?

I use the one by S4 gear. Easy one hand use and still keeps rain/dust off my glass. I think it was around 40 or 50$

That's the one I was looking at. Couldn't remember the name. Do you like it?

Very much so. This will be my third season with it. Simple to use and very durable. Also have my Range Finder rigged to it so they are both right there.

Awesome! Thought about buying a cheap one but hate to do that when I'm buying a $200 pair of binoculars. Want them protected and all.

I had just a basic bino strap for a few years(without the cover). It worked fine. I just didnt like having to clean the glass everytime I wanted to look through it. if I were able to spend the extra 20 and get something with a cover I definitely would.

I was actually just logging on this thread to try and stoke the fire...Christine beat me to it.

I was just going to share another picture...hard to beat the dawn of a new day in the Rockies!

It's sad I'm looking past the little bit of summer we have here.

I haven't seen any mountains since... well, the last time I looked out the window. ;) heh...

I've been doing some hiking. Trying to get into a something that remotely resembles being in shape.
For all the miles I've put on... I've lost 0 pounds. :(

    But the scenery is nice.
