since i havent been there I can't put in any imput as to one or the other but I do like fishing just as much as hunting! And i grew up in the middle of no where so dirt roads/dust dont bother me.
Well its not looking real good for me. I was told if everything stays the same within the company from now till September then I can get the time off. Not what I wanted to hear. But I will continue to put money aside for it, which is almost all saved up so that will be easy, and get myself into better shape then I am in. I want to put on 15 pounds by then but I doubt that happens. I know tough problem to have. Want to make this happen so bad. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
Is this real? I just found this forum tonight and can't believe this post. It sounds too good, too much fun to be true. Save me a cot, I'm in! Actually, I'll bring my own cot. Look forward to meeting you all in September. Leon
It's true Leon, it's true. Welcome. I started the camp back in 2000 on Homestake Road. Then, fishing wasn't really part of the hunt as it is now. The dust and the traffic drove us all crazy... that part is coming back to me in a bad way. I'm not sure if the res. is back or not. What makes No Name so cool is the quick in and out access to everywhere, and you're back off the road so the traffic doesn't bother anyone. I think I'm talking myself back to No Name. The guys that want to fish will just have to travel. Some essentials I'll need help with if you are driving. Bring your own: chair, cot, sleeping bag. If you are flying, let me know so I can arrange these things for you plus your pick up. Matt, are you planning to bring your tent? I will talk to Waid to see what the Texas boys are planning. We need to start a head count (cut and paste your names and/or party #). Also, if your are bringing you own tent indicate that (and if you have room for others). As it sits, my camp set-up will accommodate about 30 people comfortably. I may need help if we go past this number: 1. Iamyourhuckleberry plus three locals 2. PSE Justin plus one 3. Rex and Rob (kodiakarcher) Now do not worry about the size of camp. Area 45 is huge! We have barely even scratched the surface in past hunts. There is so much much we have yet to explore. As far as elk and the killing of them...I do not believe anyone over the past seven hunts has left camp without a elk encounter. Seeing elk and putting an arrow into one are two completely different issues. It is my goal to provide everyone an opportunity to commingle, laugh, have fun, network, and hunt whilst in God's country for a week. If taking an elk is absolute must, I don't know if I'm your huckleberry. There are just too many variable beyond my control. I'll try my best though.....
Like I said Will, sounds too good to be true. I will more than likely be coming out by myself. I put a couple of feelers out to some guys last night, but it looks like I will be coming in solo. I can bring a tent if it looks like it will be needed. It's not big though. With cots it would just be room for two of us. I guess we'll just see if it's needed as September nears. I should definitely be there, except for one reason. My father in-law was recently diagnosed with Mesothelioma. My wife has been going back to Oregon for weeks at a time to help during his treatments, etc. So depending on his health come September, whether I need to be home with the kids while my wife is gone, I should be there. This really sounds like a great week. What a great way to find a new area to hunt and make new friends. The friends that I have made through the outdoors, have remained my best friends. There's just something about friendships that are forged around the campfire. See you at the fire. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

If I pull the deer tag, I'll likely be there. Since my husband lost some vacation time by being in the hospital (bad way to use up vacation days, by the way) it's doubtful he'd be able to come with. I'll probably sleep in my car.
Sooner, will you be hunt'n in area 45 prior to the 20th? We should get together! I will be using the weekends prior to hunt and set up camp. If you are here early, you can join Rex and the Aussie crew during the week as the camp watchmen-hunt during the days, etc. Matt, count Bails as two people. He certainly eats and snores like two......
I'm fully committed but vacation policy at work sucks! I am trying to pull EVERY string possible to make this happen. But I agree that Tony has commitment issues! Lol Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
I will actually be hunting a little north of 45. We will def have to talk as season gets closer. I wouldn't mind coming down on a weekend and seeing what 45 is all about. I've actually thought about coming back up the week of the 20th even if I do tag out the first week. I just can't get enough of CO.

Will, There will be 5 of us definitely coming and 1 maybe. We will be self sufficient so there's no need to make room or plan anything for us. However, we will be maxed out as far as room goes, especially if the 6th buddy commits. Also, if you need us to bring anything extra to help out, just let me know. Can't wait to see and meet everyone!
