Just checked the Colorado Division of Wildlife website and for all of you that put in for mule deer the results will be posted May 30th. If your unsucessful you can apply for a a left over deer draw license August 5th at 9 AM mountain time Over the counter proghorn, bear, and elk licenses go on sale the same date. So you can purchase your elk license on line then if you know your coming and want to have your license in hand and not wait until you get to Colorado to purchase
Be Prepared Those who plan to purchase leftover licenses at license agents or CPW offices should be prepared before they arrive. This will help the process run as efficiently as possible. If you are planning on purchasing a license, be sure to have the following: •Your driver's license/state issued identification card, •Proof of hunter education: hunter education card or a Colorado hunting license with verified hunter education, •Your social security number (anyone 12 years of age and older are required to give their social security number, if not already on file), •Your customer identification number (CID), if you have previously purchased a license in Colorado, •Proof of residency, if you are planning to purchase a resident license, •A prioritized list of hunt codes for licenses you are interested in. If purchasing a license for someone else (can only be done IN PERSON), the buyer must bring the following for the hunter: •A clear copy of both sides of their driver's license/state issued identification card, •A clear copy of both sides of their hunter education card or a previous Colorado hunting license with verified hunter education, •Their social security number (anyone 12 years of age and older are required to give their social security number, if not already on file), •Their customer identification number (CID), if they have previously purchased a license in Colorado, •A prioritized list of hunt codes they are interested in. IMPORTANT: One cannot buy a license for someone else OVER THE PHONE. The option to buy for someone else only works IN PERSON.
• Over-the-Counter Unlimited Licenses: These are available to resident and nonresident hunters. There are an unlimited number of these licenses that may be purchased at any time up until the day before your hunting season starts. After the season starts, they are available at CPW offices only.
What brand and model of boots do you mountain guys recommend? I am looking at meindl Ultimate Hunter Fit IQ or the kenetrek mountain extreme boot, or is there another boot I should look at? Keep in mind I need size 14 or 15 depending on the maker.
I have the cabela's silent stalk sneakers. They are 8" tall water proof Gore tex and only weigh 2.5 pounds they are zero grams insulate. If its super cold I have some 800 gram trekkers but they seem heavy and bulky but they are warm if there is lots of snow on the ground Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk
