The cause is that little bitty s jolt near the tunnels. Everyone has to slow down there for some reason. Has been like that a year now. Ready for those tunnels to be done. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
Have a safe trip Cowboy Colby, and bust a nice bull for the freezer. Hope all the guys arrive safe and you all have a great hunt. I will be there some fall... promise !!! HH in Pa
Camp is going well. As always, the first couple of days...the introduction days...have gone well. People are starting to find their honey holes, and the chemistry in camp is awesome! Both deer and elk are being seen. But there lays the problem. Seeing and placing an arrow into either deer or elk are two different things! Or, the animal wasn't the desired size (Kodiakarcher passed on 2.5 y/o 3x3 mulie and Mr. Reyes called in a spike bull). The mountains are stunning right now. Having a Shiras moose walk through camp was a treat (video pending). In just a few days, Frogtosser has seen his first bull elk, bull moose, and B&C mulie. Hunting with Christine has been a hoot! Thanks everyone!
Tony, I had to pull off the mountain for a few days to commence a new construction project. I need three days (as much as I hated to leave elk camp) to make sure my guys can finish our project by Nov. 1st. I'm heading back up Thursday night and will continue hunting with everyone Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are about 30 hunters in camp...or spread out in various spike camps. I can tell you, everyone is laying down boot leather! Upon my departure, Colby had three elk encounters, Aussie john had two, Matt and his crew of four each had a bull encounter, Frogtosser and Cho watched a monster bull, and the other boys from Illinios had mangaged to get into a group of cows. Everyone is seeing mule deer. Christine and Patinthehat were hunting with me. They helped me put the smack on the buck Saturday afternoon, which was awesome! The three of us took Frog for a sight seeing tour yesterday morning (I was essentially showing them areas to hunt before I left). We arrowed a few grouse and stalked three absolutely beautiful mulie bucks-one of which was B&C quality without a doubt. As I was driving back to Denver, Kodiakarcher phoned me to say he had just finished going to full draw on two bucks@25 yards, He gave both a pass due to size and age deficiencies. I cannot tell you how many times I have either witnessed or have heard of Rob doing this. He sets the bar high for himself. You have to respect that! I cannot wait to get back up there! I hope the next three days sizzle by quickly! Some of the terrain we're hunting:
