The wayne has treated me well over the past 6 years.. Only problem is its getting more and more crowded each year.
There are a lot of groups that go and do the camping thing. It's a great place for that. There is also potential for nice bucks. It's a great place to hunt and I think more and more people are figuring it out. Used to go there and not see a soul. Hardly even see any signs of other hunters. Now you catch scent wicks, trail markers, tree stands all over then place. Wayne blew up on forums and in magazines. This thread is hardly the first haha
Thinking we could park, and then hike in a bit to get off the beaten trail. Could set up on a big ridge we don't plan to hunt and branch off from there each morning. I'd prefer not to drive every time I hunt, if possible.
Yeah would be nice to camp near a big enough piece that we can hike in from camp and still get away from the crowd. But wouldnt hurt to also have other areas to check!
Agreed. I don't mind hunting hard and bouncing around. That being said, if people don't mind walking in 1-2 miles on some days, we could cover 5,000+ acres no problem.
Yes sir. Come down and let's hunt ! Mi casa su casa. We would prolly only hunt private case I got limited time. But I'd introduce you to Some land owners.
If you are talking about September I was thinking about getting a MD license just to hunt public land for bucks. With work and all I could probably come up there 5-6 times or so over 2 weeks. Lets do it! Hunt, sleep, KILL!
Oh hell yes, so long as I don't get shipped early let's make it a plan! We are hunting private land to though. We got limited time! I'd rather you kill a buck. Between the two of us we could do it.
Sounds like a plan brother. Buck hunting on private land in September sounds awesome. I will get my MD license this summer....look forward to it man!
Been away for awhile training for early race season now back to getting ready for deer season what's the game plan looking like for the public land hunt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
