Heading to Leech Lake again this weekend - Will be in Walker Bay. Fishing reports are not looking good... But there are plenty of bottle bass to be had. Fishing will just be the added perk!
Had a good weekend. Saturday I caught 6 eyes. Keep my limit and threw back the nice one, didn't measure it but most likely 22-23" range. My 5 are the bottom row in the pic. There was 5 of us fishing Saturday. Sunday I got out early same area. Was back to my truck by 10am I caught 6 again. Rod in the pic is 36" the last eye (guide) on the rod is at 22". The weather sucked 15-25 wind with snow and freezing rain I ground it out in one spot. Marked a couple big fish couldn't get them to bite. All fish were caught jigging. Used jigging raps.
The walleye I got measured in at just over 24" - We got out there late and were in shallower than what we wanted so only ended up with 3 over 4 hours. Still happy with the outcome. We basically went out blind and set up based off of the online fishing reports.
Went to Lake Erie last weekend. We did ok. The area we fished didn't have any concentration of fish they were scattered. An acquaintance got a 13.3 one morning. I lost a couple really nice fish. Better luck next year, hopefully.
