Awesome!! There isn't nothing better then seeing some young blood learning about and enjoying what we all love. Gotta pass it on and what a great way to do it.
Just got another kid to take I haven't met them yet but a 14 year old first time hunter's uncle asked about a spot to take him for the youth season on another forum and I offered them a couple of spots . Sounds like they'll be camping in my driveway , more good times and great memories awaiting me
Taking Veronika(15) out in a couple minutes for the MI youth hunt...she's shooting her muzzleloader and open sights. Just hope she gets a chance at her first deer tonight...this morning, nothing was moving much, and the only deer we saw were on the way to and way back from post.
im 12 and my papa introduced me to hunting when I was 8. I cannot stress to you enough how much I love hunting with a loved one. I will never forget the first time I squeezed the trigger on that 150lb doe. it was and still is so far the happiest day of my life. I don't know if im just addicted to hunting, but its my time to get away from these city lights and be myself with friends and family all around me. every single day that's what I think about when I get up. so if you know someone who you think might like hunting, please for the love of god, TAKE HIM/HER. it will mean the world to that kid knowing how much you care for him/her to get up and take the time to take him/her hunting. I hope this inspired some of yall to take a kid hunting more often.
MI youth hunt; Saturday Sunday Monday and yup she helped butcher it to - plus cooked the tenderloins herself
Looking good ya'll. I took my buddy's daughter to the bow shop today and got her some more arrows and adjusted her poundage up to 50. She draws the bow easily but we'll likely leave it there. She is shooting pretty well out to 25 yards so hopefully we'll get it done in a few weeks.

took my son hunting this morning. We took this doe after being in the blind for about an hour. He is 5, so patience is not a virtue yet.
