The other guy AKA Dad who took the time to take me huntin and fishin.. and just another fun one of the kids... This will be my daughter Addy's second year deer hunting, hopefully we can fill her tag! Gonna be a great fall
Great stuff! I am only 23 and do not have any kids yet but I am going to take my girlfriend hunting this year. She has gone with in the past but will be hunting this time. She's working on getting her hunter safety now and then it's game on! Most likely spend most of the time with her in the layout blind chasing honkers but may take her deer hunting as well.
Done deal!! I got lucky!! 37 surplus bear tags left over In the area I hunt In. Usually It takes seconds when they go on sale and their gone. Happy bear hunter here!!
It's kind of the other way around for me! My dad never hunted so I was completely self taught. He just bought a bow last spring and we are trying to get him a deer this year. We really enjoy the quality time together and all the pre season work. Here is him and I with my first deer last season. (BTW, don't let my baby face fool you, I'll be turning 16 in September)
This is my hunting buddy. He first sat with me when he was 3 years old and has hunted the last four seasons. Time flies...enjoy them while you can.
I'm hoping when we head home for Christmas we'll get one half warm day i can take my 3 year old daughter to the heated shooting houses we have. My dad had me setting in shooting houses when i was 4 so I think she'll do fine!
This year I'll be taking a friend's 16 year old daughter bow hunting. My buddy doesn't hunt but his daughter is dying to try it and has been shooting her bow since Christmas when I bought the 4 kids a bow. She and her younger brother have been shooting it but she has really excelled. Her brother will sit in the blind with us while we hunt. My son is 30 now so it's time to take a younger person hunting. I didn't really think about how much work goes into teaching a young person to hunt, especially if they have not grown up around it. She is eager to learn and we are all looking forward to hunting this fall.
We took a kid bowfishing on Saturday. He already hunts but is new to the art of shooting carp in the face. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
My thirteen y.o. nephew has started to show a interest in bow hunting. The only problem is he is 6'3" tall and already has a 29.5" draw length. I helped him to some research on various different bows and finally settled on a Bear Encounter because of it's 32" draw. Well this past Sunday, I took him to Cabelas and picked one up. I'm looking forward to teaching him the ropes! He still needs work on his form and probably some draw length adjustment. I think he'll get there with a little more practice.
