The past is the past and I have no desire to have it changed. Wins or losses. It does not bother me one bit to talk about losses. The SEC bowl record seems to matter more to you than to me. It is also funny you are talking about another team losing to SEC teams when that is exactly what your team does... An SEC doormat for the good programs with the exception of a couple good seasons. If your team won every game, what fun would it be? You need losses, you need rivalry's and the need for revenge. Do I blink an eye when tOSU beats Indiana? No... I do not. Do I get bat **** crazy when tOSU beats Michigan? You bet. If tOSU loses the next 5 games or wins the next 5 against the SEC it is what it is. That's why they play the games. I do however still find it hilarious the Brah Brett bolted Wisconsin and ended up in Arkansas.... Your coach sucks.
I agree you guys snagged a great young WR prospect... But it won't matter when Shane Morris is behind center. You guys better hope that Derick Green is the truth.
I go bat crazy when they MI loses, haha The SEC record does not phase me a bit, because MI has a winning record against the SEC
Guys I would just like to remind everyone that we are only a month away from football returning to our lives. The summer doldrums are half way through. Just trying to be optimistic on this Monday morning.
Morris will be fine, I am not worried about any RB we put in the backfield. Hoke is building this team in the treaches Michigan had 8 Scholarship OL when Hoke took over, we now have 16!!!!! We will have the best tackles(Lewan,Schofield) in CFB this year, and our guards are young, but they are studds. Kalis, Braden with Miller at center.
Yeah - I'm with you and Hooker, Philip. A&M may very well beat them, I just don't want them to. Although I do like Hook's theory that A&M beats Alabama then falls from grace. That'd be pretty cool.
Cody interestingly enough I just read an article that broke down the last 20 years of the SEC. OVERALL RECORD: Florida, 200-57-1 LSU, 175-74-1 Georgia, 175-75-1 Alabama 174-78-1 Tennessee 170-79-1 Auburn, 167-79–1 Texas A&M, 153-93-1 Arkansas 137-105-1 South Carolina, 126-113-1 Missouri, 126-114-2 Ole Miss, 119-119-0 Mississippi State, 110-126-2 Kentucky 96-141 Vanderbilt, 74-158 NATIONAL TITLES: Alabama, 3 Florida, 3 LSU, 2 Auburn, 1 Tennessee, 1 Arkansas, 0 Georgia, 0 Kentucky, 0 Mississippi State, 0 Missouri, 0 Ole Miss, 0 South Carolina, 0 Texas A&M, 0 Vanderbilt, 0 SEC TITLES: The Gators won all their titles from 1993-2008. Lately, the west division has ruled, but overall the east holds an 11-9 edge. Florida, 7 LSU, 4 Alabama, 3 Auburn, 2 Georgia, 2 Tennessee, 2 Arkansas, 0 Kentucky, 0 Mississippi State, 0 Missouri, 0 Ole Miss, 0 South Carolina, 0 Texas A&M, 0 Vanderbilt, 0 10-WIN SEASONS: The program that might surprise is the Vols. Because they have slumped lately, we sometimes forget just how good this school was during much of the past 20 years. Florida, 12 Alabama, 10 Georgia, 9 LSU, 9 Tennessee, 9 Auburn, 5 Texas A&M, 4 Arkansas, 3 Missouri, 3 South Carolina, 2 Mississippi State, 1 Ole Miss, 1 Kentucky, 0 Vanderbilt, 0 UNBEATEN SEASONS: Nobody can touch Auburn in this category. In fact, the Tigers have just as many unbeaten seasons as the rest of the SEC combined. Auburn, 3 Alabama, 1 Tennessee, 1 Texas A&M, 1 Arkansas, 0 Florida, 0 Georgia, 0 Kentucky, 0 LSU, 0 Missouri, 0 Mississippi State, 0 Ole Miss, 0 South Carolina, 0 Vanderbilt, 0 LOSING SEASONS: Florida has not recorded a losing season since 1979. This stat proves that even great programs have down seasons. Florida, 0 Georgia, 3 Alabama, 4 Auburn, 4 LSU, 4 Texas A&M, 4 Tennessee, 5 Arkansas, 7 South Carolina, 7 Ole Miss, 9 Missouri, 10 Mississippi State, 11 Kentucky, 12 Vanderbilt, 18
I wish the Vols would get back to being a solid team again so they could offer some resistance to Bama from the East. Bama's East opponents are such a joke right now.
Cool story bro. I like that true freshman DE Adolphus Washington beat the "best tackle" in college football for a sack / fumble / OSU recovery / 26-21.
I could not agree more, I'm tired of being a middling team losing to rivals each year. Hopefully Butch will be the guy. He has at least started off better than Dooley.
Thanks man but I'm afraid it'll be close to .500 again this year because of all the early departures to the NFL. I can only hope that Jones can coach them up and they win a game they are not suppose to. Personally I am very happy to see what he Jones has done. Jones has proven he can win at his other stops hopefully he can translate that to a bigger school. He has so far shown an ability to translate his recruiting to a bigger school. Fingers crossed I am tired of the down years.
Great find, man! That had to be tough posting that and seeing UF at the top of nearly every category Seriously, though, the most telling stat from that list is the number of undefeated seasons. With that few undefeated seasons it speaks to the true, overall toughness of the SEC. A&M's obviously doesn't count.
My nephew is going through the recruiting circuit right now and he said his camp visit to TN this summer was very impressive. I think good things are on the horizon at TN. Not that anyone cares but Nebraska will continue to be schizophrenic just like the coach, offense carrying the defense and dropping at least one game they shouldn't again this year. Maybe with a couple more blowout losses this year there will be some changes and we can get back on solid ground again. I still like them to win the division only because of a weak schedule.
