Hey guys, as summer is coming up I am looking at trading up and buying a new bow. Two bows that really caught my attention were the 2012 PSE Dream Season Evo and 2011 Bowtech Assassin. The Assassin looks like a really top competitor with its lightness and short axle-to-axle. The PSE is quite a bit heavier at 4.2lbs but it makes up for it with the speed and balance. The price range is definitely huge between the two with the Assassin weighing in at $599 and the PSE around $850. What do you guys think?

P.S: We have a Proshop here in town that I am very acquainted with, but they are a Mathews dealer and I don't think I would have a chance to shoot these two bows side by side.

Bowtech Assassin would be my pick. For the price difference you could get top notch accesories and only spend around the price of the PSE bear bow total. Plus the Assassin is fast and light with a better brace height, more letoff. The PSE is alittle faster but not that much for the cost differance. But you cant go wrong with either bow thats just my 2 cents. Good luck.

I have the 2012 Dream Season Evo and IMO it is a great bow. I had the opportunity to put my hands on and shoot several other bows at my pro shop and the Evo was the one that stood out. The price was not bad when compared to other brands top of the line bows. I would try to shoot as many different bows as you can and it is like I have seen written several times in other threads, the bow for you will choose you.

PSE EVO is a fantastic bow. i went with the EVO 7, and it has done nothing but amaze me. Absolutely no vibration what so ever.
However, how did you come to picking these 2 bows just by looking at stats? i really advise you to go shoot some bows.
