I was just over looking at chasingame.com and was looking at their 2012 ata coverage. If you get a chance check some of them out. It sure does look like the 2012 trail camera line up is going to be good. There is going to be a bunch to choose from with all these companies offering all the options now.
I love these cams,so small and compact and have 8 AA batterys with video and plot mode and also pass code protection and 12 mp In testing i usually put the cam in the yard and do some walk byes in the dark to see how well they trigger and how far they will trigger all my other cams the ir light up and you can get some ideas how good they are, well the ltl acorn didnt seem to do anything after a bunch of walk by test and i thought oh-no a lemon so i took it in and Wow does this cam work it got pic after pic and i could not see any flash at all. I couldn't tell the cam did anything but man it put my others to shame. Here is a pic of the cam one in the middle is the std flash but i can see the flash on that one but so faint i can barely see if even if i am starring at it.
Today on amazon i see them for this LINK:http://www.amazon.com/LTL-Acorn-Digital-Trail-Camera/dp/B004KA0ZHY befor x-mas i paid less then 150.00 each to my door, i see deals come thru like this often on line.
I've been looking at the new spypoints...I'm really liking what my IR-5s are doing right now in this below zero weather -they are working flawlessly! *except when covered in snow-any game cam wipers for sale???
I have 1 ir6 and it's a solid cam and easy to use and setup and takes great pics and i love that the cam pulls out of the case. When they change the ir's to low glow they will have a bad arse cam there for sure.
I have used Moultrie and Spypoints in the past and have had good luck with them but Stealth Cam came out with some great inexpensive no glow (black led flash) cameras that I am excited to try out this year!
I will have to wait for some reviews on them.. Trigger times have been a issue in the past when i looked at the reviews on chasing game cam review boards
The DLC Covert, Spypoint, and LTL Acorn cams I will really be looking at. I am intrested to see what these cameras from Big Game treestands are all about. Also noticed that primos changed all their cameras to the "mini" cams.
If DLC continues in the direction they've been going they will be 1 of the best trail cam companies out there. They're listening to what the customer wants in a cam and they're producing just that.Their customer service is great from what i've read. I plan on adding 1 of these Black 60's when they become available.
Covert C.S. is as good as it gets...a bear gouged the pir sensor cover on my C.A. 3.0(bear damage is not covered in warranty), I p.m.d Dave S. on chasingame about getting a new cover - sent it 2 days later and no charge at all.
I am really starting to like how these companies are amping up their customer service now a days. Its means alot.
Watchout the Long Range scoutguard cameras, they'll eliminate the poor sensing and slow trigger problems completely.
