Just finished working out and now I'm considering calling in sick to work. But I should let my woods rest since it was hunted 5 days straight. With no kills. Watched a fork buck make 3 scrapes in front of me at 35 yards pretty cool thing to witness first hand and also one heck ofawy to kill time.

Got down early. Wind was going all over and I think they passed through early this morning. Hopefully they'll show up tonight.

Gonna head back out around 1:30 - luckily near the spot I was this morning since I left my treestrap in the tree lol.

Well I'm back home. My hunch was right about deer movement today. They were moving real early and real late this evening. Got in the tree late this afternoon (about 3:30) and sat until 5:15. Had one spike come investigate the cardboard decoy but he either didn't like it or picked up my scent because he only hung around for a few minutes then turned and left.

Had a buttonbuck feeding all around it - didn't seem to care. Saw two other does out of range and a fox. Also saw a nice buck chasing a doe like his life depended on it. Too bad they were on a ridge about 300 yards away :(

All this movement between 4:30 and 5:15 this evening. Heading back out tomorrow!

Why why why did I pick this tree. The base if my hang on is biting into a spot without any bark. Every time stand or sit it makes popping noise. This'll be an interesting morning..

I'm going out to Frederick to get my Assault and then to my new honey hole to get setup for the afternoon. Hope to be set up by noon, grab some lunch and be back in the stand by 2. Good luck everyone.

Good luck guys. Between my creaky stand/tree and lack of anything alive in my neck of the woods, I'm done for today.

Might have to pick up the shotgun this weekend just to fill the freezer.
