Going to have to hold off for a bit. Looks like he may have went on the neighbors land. Have the go ahead to track there but not sure if anyone is hunting it today or where. Followed blood about 60 yds and found a bone fragment. Trying to find next blood to see where he went.

I do not want to be a part of Vito's over/under

Just got word no one is hunting there today. Going back down, found a few more bone fragments but blood is not as much as if like. Never seen one mule kick like that without being hit hard though. Going back to last blood

No dice, don't know what else to say. Found about 13 more specs of blood and that's it. We followed every trail to where we had permission and then grid searched between them.

Best guess is that I shot low hitting the back or front of the offside leg. He was walking east to west, I'm facing south 50 yds and I rushed it. No excuses, I don't believe the shot itself was fatal, but having three bone fragments in my hand cannot rule out it will eventually be a fatal shot. My uncle seems to think he'll be alright and with all the hunters around probably shot this season.

I have never seen a deer mule kick like that and not be within 150yds. All the blood appeared to come from his left side and my entry point of aim was his right side. No way I entered the right side and busted the offside leg, deer would have been found.

Chalk one up towards the over, and asterisk it for a shotgun unrecovered.

Well nothing happening for me today either so far. Haven't seen anything but then again there is a bunch of tree cutting going on not to far from me. Chainsaws have been running for a few hours now so I don't expect to see anything between now and dark. But u never know so the fingers are crossed and I'll sit till dark. :) its an absolutely gorgeous day here so I definitely don't mind.

Lmao... good luck Bronson. I won't be in stand for about 2 more hours as long as everything goes to plan.
Good luck to everyone that's already out or heading out later. Be safe y'all.

In the stand this afternoon, a good buddy of mine put me in his "honey hole" with hopes of me being able to get my first deer with my bow. So lets hope that things come together. I'm already covered with tree rats. So I'm taking that as a good sign! Good luck everybody.

Yesterday morning I had a hard time getting up the tree with my climber due to a knot on the back I didnt see. When I put my flashlight on to see what the hold up was, I had an animal following me up the tree - flying squirrel. Still freaked me out for a second! Anyway - shot my first buck ever, even though it was in the orange army. Six pointer.

Me and my wife just watched 20 deer walk by at 200 yards. Osceola national park is public land packed with game. We took a shot set a4 point before we lost light but missed.
It was great we walked in sat down and deer every where.
I was worried after people posted about public land being over hunted or crowded. It was great.

Almost sunrise. Saw someone with a headlamp this morning on my way in so I may be near another hunter. Hope I'm not too close. Got to my spot and had a 6 or 8 pt walk up on me. : /

    Hope another comes by.

Just got settled in a few minutes ago. Lot of critters near the road as I was driving in. Hope the deer missed that memo and decide to wait until sunrise to get up and moving. Good luck!!
