This is the first time I've been able to post in this thread due to my usual spot have zero cell service. I was able to secure a new spot in a great section of the county through a friend of a friend. He's got 7 acres backing to a reservoir and a ton of deer that don't seem to be afraid of humans. They have destroyed all of his garden so its my job to hopefully persuade some of them that its not so safe. All he's asking for in return is one deer processed for him and his family because he doesn't hunt. It's mostly a field, but like I said, its right up against state reservoir land. I'm in a blind I borrowed from my buddy. I was out Wednesday and saw 11 does and 2 bucks. One was a young 6 that came in within range but I passed on him and the other was a nice older 6 point outside his ears. Nothing huge but a shooter for me. Hoping they are moving again tonight! Nobody has hunted here in 6 years and he says there's a couple big boys roaming around the area. If anything, it will be a honey hole to come whack some late season does. Wish me luck!

Them Moco/Hoco bucks don't play the whole wind thing. Use to have to drive down there a lot with the old job 130" + bucks just cruising right up along the houses

The reservoir is triadelphia not liberty but I know what you're talking about. Saw another 12-15 tonight and two bucks again. Got busted by a doe drawing back in the blind, but its too small. I'm bringing my lone wolf on Monday to put in one of only like 3 trees that would work.

You're exactly right. They were a little cautious of the new ground blind but it didn't stop them. That's why I'm bringing the Wolf to go aerial.

Tried a different approach. Always try to get in stand 1/2-1 hour before shooting light. Everyone else comes down about now. I came down with them. Kicked something up by my stand. Ran past the trail cam. Afraid to pull the card later when I change batteries. Sounded heavy and didn't blow/snort.

    10 minutes until day 2

Someone a few miles away just shot twice. 7 minutes early, with two shots doubt it was an accident.

No luck very little blood on the trail... I searched a lot last night and 2 hours this morning at first light with orange on. She is gone...I'm pretty bummed out I hope she lives because I didn't find her. What I thought would be my first harvest got away. It wasn't a great shot and I hit a twig that pushed the arrow too high... well good luck today anyone out hunting...
