I was going to head out to the ground bind this morning seeing it raining. But I over slept and the wife corralled me into doing a few honey-do's. the rain is supposed to cease late morning/early afternoon. I'll be in a treestand later.

Well I made it into the treestand. It turned out to be a real pretty day, a bit windy though.

My camera showed me a very respectable buck just before my laptop battery died. We'll see what happens.

Never saw a deer. Even the squirrels that run rampant were scarce.

Seen a few small deer several hundred yards away early but nothing lately. Farmer finally working on cutting the corn on the main field so I hope that helps!

I hear ya. I'm joining the orange army for two weeks. LOL. Just had a scope put on my 12ga. I'll be picking up the bow again after gun season. Luckily urban season goes all the way thru January. Im also excited about the special antlerless season. They sure have opened things up for us this year. Normally if i don't get it done by gun season, it just doesn't happen for me with the bow. This year i have a good feeling about late archery....

Just saw a really good buck but he wouldn't cooperate by coming close enough.

Congrats! Started to get worried as these haven't turned out well of late

That's an awesome buck, especially when it's your first. Hate when people sell themselves short, don't worry about what others think on size!

That's an awesome buck Skywalker! Congrats on such a nice first self filmed kill. Hopefully tomorrow I can get my first bow buck (period) let alone self filming one. And hopefully he's as nice as that guy is but I'm def not gonna be picky especially for my first bow buck. Congrats again bro. :)
