Haha gotta love it though. The first buck I've seen on hoof was yesterday and he came directly behind me then out and around about 10-15 yards outta range. Back at this spot today and I'm in a tree this time since I didn't forget my harness. Haha.
arrowed a doe this morning...back on my public land spot in area I scouted two years ago. This is the first timr Ive hunted it Glad I scouted it bc needed a spot for this weird SE wind we have goiny on right now.
Had a whole herd of does run out of their beds by a little buck. Used a grunt, bleat, rattle and snort-wheeze and he never came in. Does went back up to bed about 20 minutes later. Saw one buttonbuck in range but Im not desperate enough to shoot one yet. Too warm for an afternoon hunt so that's it for me till next weekend. Good luck for you guys still out!
Hopefully ill be able to sneak out for an evening hunt after ride time tonight. All it takes is 5 minutes!
Been out all day and haven't seen anything. Moved to my blind by a plot but the winds picking up and it's about 65°. Doesn't look good but it's the last day of the season so don't have much of a choice.
Im feeling it right now... clouds moved in, temps dropping quickly, nov 12th, downwind side of a hill with scrapes all around.....Bring it!
ok! Here is the deal man...if one of us kills a buck to tonight we have to take one of the pics shirtless!....my god my aging body....hahahahaha drinking mountain dew and going ninja the rest of the afternoon
On the shore sitting outside a swamp. Rattled in three babies this morning hoping a giant walks out Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
Well that's it for me till Friday. Had a good sized doe making her way to me she was about 40 yards out and was on a path right for me to have a good shot. Then she turns goes about 10 yards back and bedded down. Haha. Laid there for the rest of the evening at 53 yards away. Tried all kinds of stuff to get her to move. Bleats, grunts, weezed she wasn't having it. Finally had to holler at her to get her to move so I could get down without her seeing me. Didn't see that buck from yesterday but that area looks prime and I think that's where I'll post up Friday and next weekend. Good luck if ur still in the woods. Be safe
I won't ever go in a tree without my harness. To risky in my opinion. would much rather hunt that sit from the ground then something horrible happen.
