    Here we are again. It's about 3:15, I was hoping to get in a little earlier, but oh we'll.

    Right about 20 yards to that path, chip shot, now if Mr. Big would just follow the script.

    Twice today I've got to witness a hawk attempting to grab a squirrel. His luck has followed mine. I may have gotten the first one swooping in on the trail cam. Pretty cool to watch though.

    Winds here in IL were pretty calm now pushing 20 out of N... Bad stand location only trees with stand possibility are on north side on this 20acre tract surrounded by cut ag fields and apple orchard to S. well see.... image.jpg

    [​IMG]Changed stands. Right where the 8 went yesterday morning when I rattled him in. Winds are still off and on. But calmer than yesterday here in central il. Hoping to see a big one fall this afternoon! Good luck all!!

    Back at it! Sitting the river crossing stand. Not a very good wind for this stand, but I am hoping to draw something in from the woods on the other side of the river.

    Favorable wind...check, funnel between bedding area and standing corn...check, 6 hot scrapes and rubs within 50 yards...check, one of three known 140+ bucks...waiting on you guys!!

    Back at it. Bucks are getting Ancy here. Been seeing some good ones even w the winds at 25+ and the full moon. We'll see if it works out tonight

    Sitting on the edge of a cut bean field, there is a good sized creek behind me with one of the only crossings in range. I might shoot a doe if a big one walks out, I'm not sure yet. Just wanted to get out :tu:

    Just set up two new stands today in this wind on a new property. Gonna wait till the winds subside to hunt again. Were supposed to get 60mph gusts tonight thru tomorrow. Would really love to be out during this hunters moon....

    Nothing but geese, turkeys, and a coyote so far. The coyote only came to 80 yards, them crossed the creek

    Man, do I HATE spiders!! Just about come out of the tree. Had one about the size of a half-dollar climbing across the back of my neck!
