    Nothing here either. Windy again today. Gonna go sit in the stand anyway. Conventional wisdom says not to but i just gotta go sit in the woods anyway.....

    Yeah I was up there opening weekend. Lots of tree rats! Lol. Almost prime time here. Saw a group of deer run across the field about 100 yds away. Something must have bumped them. Here's my view : http://360.io/jfrhyS

    Had a good bit of action tonight! Right around sunset I watched a doe make her way towards me, feeding and working a licking branch along the way. She started down a trail towards me and stopped at about 40-45 yards watching something to my left. Turns out there was a big-bodied 8pt I had seen a few weeks ago just 30 yards out but in some 4-5 foot grass/brush.

    He moved right to the doe and went down to get a drink at the creek so I didn't get a chance to shoot. About 10 minutes later, another deer behind me on the hill blew (either saw or smelled me) and put the others on alert. They quietly disappeared and that was that.

    Not a bad evening and hoping to do better next time :)
