Nothing this morning, had one moving back near the beaver pond but never saw it, and when the random kid on the 4 wheeler showed up, I'm sure it spooked off. Damn kid is son of the folks with private property on the opposite side of the pond, who thought he could joyride on our lease. I'm going to try again later today around 4 or so, doesn't get dark until 6:30 or 7 so maybe I will catch one moving!

Grid searching now. Completely lost a blood trail after I jumped her earlier. not to far from dark. I'll let y'all know when I'm outta the woods. Service is real bad the deeper I go.

Well its dark in the woods here. No luck with the grid search either. Searched what seems like every inch of the property over the past 7 hours. No luck finding more blood from last blood spot where I jumped her and no luck with the 4 person grid search. I'm really upset this is only the second deer I've shot with a bow. The first was a doe I harvested on 9/21/12 and that was a no track job 25 yard run and drop dead kill.. I'm just pretty upset and down on myself. The shot seemed definitely well enough for a kill. Gonna spend tomorrow searching again. Pretty warm here in RI right now though.
Here is what in working with on the new property. I watched a 120-130" buck bed down straight in front of me at 4:30. He hasn't moved yet that I can see, but it's pretty thick.
my schedule and wind direction finally aligned to allow me to hunt property where my #1 target is.. about 1 hr 10 minutes shooting light left... so far 1 coyote at 160 yards...beautiful panhandle evening win, lose, or draw

Well no deer this morning and none this evening either!!! Man it's getting dicouraging. Oh well tomorrow's another day!! Saw some turkeys again. I'm gonna harvest one by the time the season is over!!!
