Heard some turkeys come off the roost. Woods have opened up a bit in the two weeks since my last sit here.
Just had a basket six at 7 yds for about 5 minutes. First antlers of the year. Here he is walking off Turkeys getting closer as well
Just took an "all or nothing" shot on a young gobbler. Had two at 20 yards and the arrow JUST went by his head. If they would have came in broadside, I would have aimed on his body....they turned and came right at me.
A damp 47 with west winds blowing 12-15 gusting to 20. I'm always coldest right at sunrise and just after my first sighting.
Looks like that little six was all she wrote for this sit. I'll give it til about 10 then climb down and swap cards in the cam. Curious to see what's on it, hopefully it paints a better picture. Need some confidence back for this area
I'm about to climb down myself. Saw a spike horn some trees. Kinda glad I didn't hit that turkey in the face.. Don't have to worry about cleaning.
Climbed down about 45 minutes ago, pulled the card in the cam. Has 237 pics on it. Hopefully it's not 231 coyotes and 6 of me. 2nd card fell out of my pocket when I pulled my phone charger out of my pocket at the truck. Had to walk back up and find it, walked back down without my bow. If I was going to see something I'd shoot that was the time. Didn't happen, so back to the drawing board
I'm alive and in a stand. Have the last bit of venison fresh in my stomach so its a good day to get more. Hoping for a 120+" buck in the next few hours.
Good luck. I couldn't take it anymore had to get out and up a tree. So here I sit. Weather is pretty nasty hopefully it doesn't get to bad though.
Well I'm set up on the edge of a swamp with a row of houses (and some very loud construction workers) behind me. I saw 2 does here Wednesday, so I'm hoping that they'll be back and that this time they'll offer me a shot.
Had to pack it up a little earlier than I wanted. Started getting poured on lol. Mama nature makes the rules.. good luck everyone still hunting.

Headed out now! Didn't get off work until 3:30. Went home, showered and just finished loading up. Best weather we've had yet, so I knew I would be kicking myself if I went to bed!
